Anyone read Batman 38? While I felt the detective part of the story was a bit weak, the overall story was really chilling.

I wonder what plans King has for his new character.

INTERVIEW: Williamson on How Flash War will Shape the DCU's New Year

"Barry is the kind of person that takes on a lot. He’s a problem solver. If you come to him with a problem he just feels like he must fix it, even if you don’t ask him to. He welcomes the weight of the world on his shoulders, no matter what the cost… how much it hurts him. And here is something — a few things, actually — that happened in the past. That when it comes back around it impacts both Barry and Wally in different ways and how they choose to deal with it… brings them into conflict."

"From 1985 to 2009, Barry was gone and Wally was at his peak. His prime. Then when Barry came back during Final Crisis and Flash Rebirth, Wally took a backseat and eventually disappeared during the New 52. It’s been a long time since we’ve really been able to explore what they’re like together."

Good to hear that they're bringing Wally back to the Flash books in this way. I tried following him in Titans but I felt they really didn't get to explore the stories they could've done with his whole - part of the old universe thing. Only time I felt it was when they brought Superman to the book. Given his knowledge of lost time, you'd think they'd have him interact more with key DC figures like Batman and the League. I would've really liked to see him interact more with people he was close with previously, like Kyle for example.

Please let it be a one-shot. Then let him stay far away from Superman forever.

If it's anything like they usually do, 1000 will be a series of stories by different creative teams.

Not sure I'm too interested in this. I remember when Superman saw a shrink after Our Worlds at War. It wasn't that interesting.

In general, I'm not a fan of when universes add institutions like this and pretend they've always been around. Like Marvel's Damage Control.

But King is a great writer, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and try it.

So I saw there is a Jack Kirby Super Powers tpb coming out today. I don't remember those but I do remember those mini-comics that came with the figures. Does anybody know who wrote/drew those mini-comics?

I remember reading about those mini comics a while ago. Seems a lot are unidentified until now - however some have been named. Don't remember the link to the article any more, but I believe a quick google search can find you creators for some of the comics.

I liked the trunkless look, and I especially liked how angry people got about Superman's crotch for like 3 years. But I suppose even underpants must bow to the status quo before long.

I never had an issue with the trunks, but I'm a little sad if they're back for good, because I think the current Rebirth suit finally perfected the trunk-less look.

The New 52 suit and the Cavill movie suit didn't quite make it work, but the rebirth suit nailed it, imo.

#1000 will be anniversary issue, this might be one-shot.

Can't say I care much about which costume, though.
