I can see Batgirl, Gotham Knights and Gotham Central being permanant casulties.

Plastic Man will probably go on the shelf and come back for another run in a few years. He's not a character that can permanantly carry his own title anymore, but he's still bankable within the industry and can easily carry minis or a couple of years of ongoing when done properly.

Flash and JLA are probably just relaunches, I can't see either of those getting indefinate axe.

Wonder Woman will never be out of a book, the rights will return to the Marsten estate if that ever happens and she is worth far too much as a brand for both DC and Warner as a whole for that to ever happen.

Flash and Wonder Woman are both getting relaunched. Mark Waid will be writing Flash, and Wonder Woman will be written by Allan Heinberg and drawn with massive boobs by Terry Dodson.

The Batman and Superman books will be replaced with new ones.

Batgirl being cancelled likely has something to do with the post-Infinite Crisis Batwoman title.

The Justice League never goes away for good. It'll be back. Again.

Just starting over from #1 again Lump.

As for the re-launches...rumors have Flash returning in the "one year later" arc as *shudder* Bart Allen. (Impulse, Kid Flash), and WW rebooting with the "one year later" as Donna Troy.

The WW one makes more sense to me. After Diana killed Max anyways.

Now, I don't mind that, but wouldn't this be the Hal Jordan/Kyle Rayner thing all over again? Only 100x worse?

Not really, no. Donna's already a well-establsihed character, so it's not like they'd be dropping Diana for some untested newcomer. It'd be more like Barry Allen/Wally West. Although probably with more complaining. :p

Damn, there go two of my monthly picks. I do agree that some of these title are difnitely getting a relaunch starting at issue #1, which is a deplorable marketing gimmick surpassed in crappiness only be reverting to the old numbering scheme just to celebrate a big anniversary issue. I'm looking at you Fantistic Four! If you're gonna start over your numbering, that's the decision with which you have to live.

At least FF and Amazing Spidey stuck to it. Avengers relaunched and went back to the old numbering at issue 500 FOR 3 ISSUES! only to get relaunched again.

Argh, first you give me a heart attack telling me Batgirl is going to be cancelled, then there's a chance it'll continue under a new name? Thank god...

Everything I read or like to watch gets cancelled :p  Although I had suspicions when reading something about an issue coming up...

Damn fanboys, I thought they tried the thing to have Babs walking again and brainiac got into her or something? Gonna Miss Cassie myself I liked the character. (wish I stuck with the book after the First one though, I had a break in getting to the comic shop and got behind)

The others I can see being relaunched and I alreayd know Gotham Central is being relaunched under a new name. The other titles (JLA, Flash, and WW) I can see being renewed.
