Maybe this has been discussed before or even over looked. But I'd like to see David Kaye as the voice over for the next incarnation of Megatron/Galvatron . It was different to deal with his voice after years of Frank Welker doing the job. And for a while David held the torch bright as well.

I'd bet he'd bet a formidable voice for Megs/Galvatron in the next movie too. If they upgrade Meg's each time he's destroyed then why not mod his voice too.

    JMHO.

Isn't David Kaye doing Prime in Animated? I doubt they'd let him do both leaders.

    InsaneGalvatron is right.

However, Kaye's voice in BW and BM was some of the best voice talent I have ever heard. Just the intelligence in his tone is really something for Megs. Yet, in Arm, Eng and Cyb, it really lacked. Most likely the cause for that being the lack of freedom when doing his lines.

Despite having a sequel discussion thread, I must say, that if Weaving is unable to revise his role, I would love Kaye to take over.

Why is everyone forgetting about Welker?

Just because he didn't do the first film doesn't mean that he wouldn't do the sequel...After all Peter Cullen is signed on to do the sequel right?

Welker can't do Megatron's voice anymore, have you played the game? He sounds like he's choking. Besides, his old Megatron voice sounds way too different than the Movie's voice.

Maybe they could aid it with computers or something?

I know sometimes when they film some animated things they have to alter the voice a tiny bit, because the actor has difficulty getting the exact pitch the creator/whomever wants.

Examples would be: Blue Submarine No.6, Luna (video game), Excel Saga.

Maybe it would be 'wrong' of them to do that or something. But I'd really like to see Welker have some work in this, ya know?

What's the point of Welker doing it if they're just going to alter it to sound so different anyway?

they'd might as well just hire me to do it xP

personally i cant see why *still* people cant get over the fact that in the movie-verse, Welker aint Megatron.

Plus there really isnt any reason to believe Weaving wont be back [this is also depending on if there's even a Megatron in the sequel. we still dont know nothing about the next movie. just assumptions and fanboys wet dreams about what they'd like to see]

    That freak?

All he really did was scream his words, and his Omega Prime voice sucked.

Well they kinda did that with Weaving. Their were some points during Megatrons breif time in the movie where he didn't sound like Weaving at all. Like I couldn't even tell that it was his voice.

Funny. Weaving has a VERY distinct voice; he carries it very well. I had no problem hearing him in every line spoken by Megs during the movie. And I hope they bring him back. He did an amazing job for what few lines he had.

I'm sorry that not everybody has the keen ears you do. Personally, I thought Weaving was VERY reminiscent of Welker's G1 Megatron voice. Powerful, raspy, and all around badass.

What the hell does him being reminiscent of Welker have to do with ANYTHING that I said? I stated that I knew I was listening to Weaving every time Megs spoke and that I thought he did a good job. Not to mention I have friends who knew it was Weaving without having stayed for the credits or reading any news on the movie. I'm sorry that your hearing just isn't as good.

You said you recognized him as Weaving every time he spoke. The post that you quoted stated they were TRYING TO MAKE HIM SOUND LIKE WELKER.

And that's great you could hear it. Too bad you can't understand it.

Personally, I'm happy with the way Weaving did Meg's voice, and that when/if Megs is brought back, that he should do his (or Galvatron's, or whatever they choose to call him if they rename him) voice, just edit it a little more to give it any affects that being brought back would have on a giant robot from space :D .

I'm guessing you haven't heard Soundwave without the synthesizer. Basically, if you can remember what Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget sounded like, that is Soundwave.....again, without the synthesizer.

That said, the movie really lowered my own standards as what to expect, so I don't think it matters at this point.

It ain't my cup of tea, but if others love this stuff, then more power to them.
