    It'd be rocking.

But the TFCU could do with a film that actually presents focus on the Decepticons, even if Ayer doesn't direct it. A single film has issues dividing the focus between characters, with Autobots and humans the Decepticons tend to get minor focus.

What makes it worse is that the screenwriters for the first three films felt it'd make the Decepticons more menacing to keep them mysterious and fearsome. Which sounds okay for one film, but with the series going on the Decepticons need to show some character depth and not come off as bland monsters. So far, only Megatron and Starscream and maybe Jetfire have shown some characterization as Decepticons.

It'd be cool to have a film set on a bunch of Decepticons carrying out a mission, have them fight off Autobots and maybe humans, see how they interact and deal with each other.

Now a Decepticon based movie would be awesome.

But I wouldn't choose Ayer - much as I enjoyed Suicide Squad - without feeling I've typecast him afterwards.

Wait did he make Suicide Squad? Speaking of that, I would love to see a Suicide Squad type story focusing on a group of Decepticons doing some good. But what Cons would be in that group? I'm at least thinking Thundercracker.

Yup, a new movie came out. Time to make a thread about it's director being a perfect fit for a Transformers movie. :lol

I'd rather see a story about one Decepticon turning good or one Autobot turning bad similar to the game Assassin's Creed: Rogue. Have the one side do something that crosses the line for the main character, and then that forces them to go on the run and try to take down his or her old faction (possibly with the help of their enemies). Regardless of Suicide Squad's quality, I don't think David Ayer should do it because it is too similar of a premise. Honestly, I would get someone like James Wan, Paul Greengrass, or Scott Derrickson (depending on how Doctor Strange does) to do the movie I just pitched.

Do we really have to have this SAME discussion like every single time anyone who isn't Michael Bay makes a successful film?

    >_>

Ever saw Fury & End of Watch? It's pretty much the Same Director.

Just don't cast Jared Leto as Starscream, he'll send whoever plays Windblade used condoms. Also, pretty much anyone would be better than Bay and Ayer has put out a few really good movies in spite of his recent fiasco, so why not?

Actually, I'd probably be more interested in that than in Suicide Squad.

It will be hilarious the next time Shamalamadingdong accidentally makes a successful movie and people try and justify why he should make a Transformers movie.

    Sure, why not.

As long as it turns out good, who cares who directs? Love all the salt regarding Suicide Squad in this thread.

    I loved End of Watch.

It's the TFCU, any genre could go and a specific director too.

:D  That was more funny than it should have been.

Which is why these threads are so predictable and redundant.

I'd rather get the guy who did deadpool

He knows how to use cgi and blend action. With lowbrow humor

This flavour of the month needs to stop.

With that said, A Decepticon focused movie would be great, like actually give them personalities like they did with the Bots in AOE.
