Dark of the Moon Sideswipe - nice toy but sadly not an improvement on Sidearm but he is equally good in different ways!.

Simplified transformation with no paint apps just molded plastic on most of the toy. Upper body is very nice with great articulation and swing out blades, he is more streamlined all over with the proportions being more movie-verse. The backpack folds up nicely and the wings are still there.

Legs are the problem, they have been made thinner but the rear bend in the knee is not there again it can however bend all the way forward which seems like a bit of a fail, the feet are also a little flimsy and with the heels make him hard to stand sometimes.

Car mode is awesome if a little delicate, if you look at the pictures you can see the gaps through the car where the seats should be.

    Overall 7.5/10

That prototype-esque lack of paint makes the RotF original look like a premium version!

    Oh dear.

Funny, how the rearwheels are actually sliced up....

No roof...and still a backpack ? I guess this one looks OK-ish overall,
but the HFTD sidearm Sideswipe seems more value for money.

Put that upper body on Sidearm Sideswipe and it's the prefect representation.

Pretty cool how he gets headlight shoulders this time instead of tail light shoulders.

Sad about the legs, and he must be painted for sure, but I will pick this guy up.

I am really hating the prototype coloring...very much so. I sincerely hope his CGI stays the same in bot mode. Sidearm is way better, hell, the first one was way better.

Skipping this, but if they do a Swerve repaint or something, I might bite, but this is pretty bland. Decent looking mold though I guess.

    Skeletal Sideswipe?

Not really a disappointment. But being a convertible this time with seats, and the new mechtech blade gun are the only reasons I'm going to reach out and pick one of these up.

This mold is begging for a better redeco. Even if its swerve again.

Half assed, hideous. So this must be a good DOTM bot.

See, I like it. BUT the lack of paint is really lazy. It looks better than the last time I saw it. I'm still going to wait on a video review. If I don't like it I still have ROTF who is a gem regardless of the weak body-locking.

It's nice. But I already have ROTF and Sidearm, I don't think I should keep getting more 'swipes.

Looks to be a fun mold...but the lack of paint is seriously distracting

wow fail...looks like the front of the car is now his chest; not the back. I should just make a youtube video on my 2009 Sideswipe. I have mine to have a very tight backpack. It looks really good. And I didn't take anything off of him.

Seeing this car from the youtube videos from Chicago, I thought for sure this new figure would be killer.

Both good points that I agree with.

It almost looks like they turned the design around 180 degrees from the original ROTF version. Front bumper for shoulders instead of the rear bumper, rear bumper parts on the feet instead of the front bumper, and the back-mounted cannons are facing rearward in the kibble stack, and the underside of the hood has 4 simulated cannons molded in where the originals used to be. Odd.

The way the hood sticks up behind the head reminds me of the FAB version, which is a nice enough toy, but the Deluxe should not be burdened this way. I'll have to see him in person.

I like it too. Question on the knees though; is it they can't bend back very far, or pretty much at all? Or am I mis understanding the knee issue?

No I am feeling this too. Sucks about that lack of paint, but I can fix that myself
