If Peaugh doesn't do it before me, I'll try posting a few pics to show the arm poseability. I currently got him in a "Wanna fight, punk?" pose, it's pretty cool. The arms are poseable, it's just a fiddly thing to do when you want to move them up as you need to clear the tires and make sure they won't pop off at the shoulders when you rotate them at the upper bicep swivel.

The only thing that looks good are the legs. The rest of the figure? No way. The alt mode's bed is unacceptable to me. You couldn't give this figure to me for free. :thumbdown

Yeah, here was I, watching the review and I saw the pickup bed, my first thought was how it looked like a swiss cheese with all the holes, turn down.

Then the transformation started, very nice engineering on his legs and feet, I even thought that maybe the truck bed wasn't so bad, at least not with this gorgeous engineering...but then we got to the upper torso...oh god.

Not even gonna comment on the gun, it does look sort of cool, but is just too freaking big and silly to work on my book, and seeing how they're ALL gonna be more or less like this, I'll give this whole line a pass (at least for the ones with the mechtech, the human alliance buggy looked nice).

Then again, it has been like this for the other 2 movie toylines too, except for Starscream and Prime from ROTF, never really liked any of the main guys, but actually liked a lot of the toy-only ones.

Why is the size of the gun such a big deal? I don't remember people complaining about that one.

We've never seen Optimus of Starscream change bodies on screen, and BB's two robot modes are near identicle excluding the car kibble. Megatron's new DOTM figure shows he's still going to look much like his on screen ROTF counterpart in robot mode

I got the impression there more DOTM reviews online from you. Are there only certain people you are allowing them to see them?

Couldn't have said it better myself. With the exception of Shockwave, none of these figures have looked good at all.

Nice figure but I'm still sticking with Recon Ironhide.

That's pretty cool. But I'm better off with my HFTD Ironhide, which I bought just yesterday.

That's his point, is it not?

Back on topic though, I don't know what the hell they were thinking sticking the arms to the torso like that. It didn't work well with the Fallen, and he was SUPPOSED to have his arms attached like that!

Personally, I love the new design so much better than the old mold. When I look at the old one I think that one is too lean and skinny. There are a lot of inaccuracies to the proportions and designs to his CG counterpart. I just hope Hasbro/Takara make a NEW version for Voyager Ratchet to go with the new Ironhide.

I hope so. I really want to see the exact range of motion his arms actually have.
