Posted in the DotM guidebook topic, but I thought this was significant enough to warrant a thread of it's own as a worldwide release of the third Deluxe wave - and me not even sure what was in it at the time!

Although the movie toyline has always had non-movie characters since day one - Armorhide, Arcee (in 2007), etc...

Yeah, TC's not going to be in the movie.

Which is kind of a shame - I mean, we have a full roster of movie versions of all original six seekers, some of which have been part of the movie toyline and comic since almost day one, and we've never had anyone other than Starscream actually appear in the films.

Originally (back when the first movie came out), I figured they'd avoid using Seekers (at least similar-model ones) since they wanted all the characters to have their own unique look (and most of the first movie's characters do). But then we get ROTF, where we have a ton of Constructicon clones, some repainted and some not, running around. Whatever.

It is? I don't think so.

Man, Lazerbeak is barely even scout size there, then a giant honkin piece of mechtech plastic to pass it off as a deluxe size.

Well, hopefully by tomorrow I'll be picking up a few DOTM figures. For the most part, I'm sure we'll be able to buy these figures sometime tomorrow afternoon. That's what happened with RORF figures.

How does having a toy confirm Thundercracker being in the movie?
If anything, that toy confirms he WON'T be appearing. Two words - colors and headsculpt.

First, think of it from a logical perspective. How silly would a mostly BLUE F-22 Raptor with RED and WHITE trim, look in a live-action movie?
In the movieverse, robots scan Earthly vehicles. And there are definitely no bright blue F-22s with red and white trim lying around this planet.

If it were in the Blue Angels livery, or the 3-tone light blue camo used on 'aggressor' aircraft at the Navy's Top Gun school, then yes it could be possible. But the way the toy is painted, it rules him out, as far as I'm concerned.

Secondly, the headsculpt should be another indication. The generic ROTF drones aside, the movie's creators have always gone to great lengths to make their major characters each unique and distinguishable.

As such, if Thundercracker is in the movie, they would have definitely given the mold a new head instead of simply reusing Starscream's.

Hmmm...looks like I was wrong about Specialist Ratchet being in wave 3. Oh well, just means the only figure I'll need to find from this wave is Thundercracker.

Isn't that a good thing if he was a big deluxe he would be the same size as soundwave.

Sweet. Out of the first three waves of Deluxe Dotm figures I only want three figures. Roadbuster, Topspin and Crankcase.

    Looking forward to Wave four.

Curiousity question. In the US are the toys being released on the 15th or 16th? Doesn't make a lot of sense to release on Sunday to me but I know I've read sites that have given both dates for release
