    Hi,

today I will show you up my first DOTM repaint Crankcase.

I made him gray because he is gray in reality too.
I used colors from revell like black, gold, gray and a little bit red for the eyes.

Megatron, Ironhide and maybe some other DOTM customs coming soon...

They appear to be almost charcoal really...[IMG]

So either they're a dark gray, or (my opinion), they're painted in a matte-black finish - almost like black primer.

    Thanks for your feedback.

At my home computer I have lot of pictures from the shooting of TF3 and
the Dreads are black in shadow and darkness, but always gray in most of the pictures.
It's a very crazy color I think, in every picture the dreads have other colors from gray to black.
But shiny black like the original standart deluxe Crankcase is wrong. Later I will
    upload the shooting pics.

Yeah it's almost a matte black/gun metal. Anyways, it looks really good! Glad we're finally starting to see some customs of these guys.

They are black, but have a matte finish that looks gray in sunlight.

Hööö? Why he have a white decepticon logo on the side, not black?
Normaly all the dreads have black logos on the side (look at my pics).

But now I have some new pictures of my custom.

You can see some other figures with crankcase' weapon and his badass face!

The logos appear to be pretty shiny - I'm thinking it's just a trick of the light.

yep DEF SATIN BLACK! not matte black! satin has NO sheen while matte still retains some, and you can get satin clear BTW
satin black can look a little lighter in shade than matte or gloss black because it defuses the light more so
