I am curious to what everyone will make in the game.

I am planning on re creating to make Hot Rod, Armada Sideswipe, Blurr (using Mirage), Thundercracker, SkyWarp and a few othrers

 

Will there even be character customization available in the DOTM game?

Where did they say this? Not doubting, just wondering. I must have missed it.

 

when I gave the game a test run, the only custimazation you could do in muti-player was change the colors of your bot. For example... while playing Optimus, I made him black in a free for all game and it was like having Nemises Prime running around lol. Or me and my little brother both picked sideswipe, I changed mine to red and he changed his sideswipe to yellow and we raced around double teaming others as red Sideswipe and yellow Sunstreaker lol.

 

I heard there were specific classes and you can choose which one and vehicle mode

 

it was in an interview or newer video...they said you could do the same thing as in wfc multi

 

I don't really care so long as characters like Bonecrusher, Rampage, Jolt,Mixmaster, Ravage, Devastator, Scrapper & the Twins are playable.

 

I remember hearing in an interview that you can only play as the characters from the movie (along with the other game characters like Warpath and the Arielbots). No customization this time around.

 

The only ones on your list that I heard will or may be playable in mutiplayer would be Jolt and the twins.

 

Cyber-Scream is correct. No customization has been reported, which I'm honestly not surprised about.

 

I read in one interview it said you could play as the characters from the game. Then the most recent hands on I read which was front paged here I believe said they got a shot of multiplayer and you could indeed recolour characters in MP

Okay, just re-read the coverage that Bacala did from the game. Color customization + Renaming is in.

ALSO, Shadow... how the hell did you test the game?

 

If they have the same limitations on each factions' color schemes as they did in WFC, it puts something of a damper on how recognizeably you can recolor the game character chassises to look like your favorites from elsewhere in the TF multiverse. Example, you couldn't create a white Ultra Magnus because you couldn't get the color white for the Autobots custom characters.

This was done to keep the factions of your characters recognizable and to give an incentive to use the "disguise" ability for the scientist class. In this case, though, in the article it says there is no class called "scientist", so maybe there is no disguise ability and no need for the color limitations.

Personally I love the customization feature, and would love it even more if they do in fact lift the color restrictions. Shattered Glass Optimus.

But I did see mixmaster on both their artwork/concept-art and trailer. Scrapper is a character who was a clone/drone, but who'd I love to play as.

The other I mentioned would be a bonus.

 

I think it would be really cool if playing as the Twins worked like playing as the Ice Climbers in Super Smash Brothers.
