Barricade is a nice mold but a tale of 2 halves !

The top half of the figure is an imrpovement with nice details and wicked head but you get to the legs and it goes a bit south :(

The original Barricade had a nice simple sturdy bottom half but due to the transformation this guy has a short stumpy waist and the legs are kinda chicken like, it doesnt ruin the figure at all its just a minor gripe.

The Mechtech weapon is cool, it changes between gattling gun and spring out claw, it can either sit in Barricades hand or mount on the Mechtech ports on his shoulders, on a side note he does miss frenzy :(  feels kinda weird not having the little guy pop out of his chest.

Before I forget the grill flips round so it's squashed in bot mode and regular in car mode.

    Overall 7/10 well worth a purchase :)

Nice pics, I got one on the way, can't wait for it. Looks much better than the original mold.

I put my 07 Barricade in a storage bin as soon as I saw pics of this guy. Improved articulation is really the only selling point I need. He'll probably be the only DOTM toy I buy (until DOTM gets to the point where it's making non-movie guys)

I'm looking forward to this one. He's definitely a refinement of all that was good on the original - one of the best Deluxe designs from the line so far. I wonder if we can get an updated Jazz too?

Frenzy doesn't get enough love in the toy lines, they should have made a Legends toy of him (they did with Wheelie and Ravage...).

Anyway, this new Barricade looks SWEET! I'm getting him even if he isn't in the movie!

It looks like the front of the car is sculpted so that it looks more screen accurate in bot mode.

But isn't that how Barricade is supposed to look? The first movie Barricade toy wasn't as accurate as some of the other on-screen Deluxes, and as I recall, had rather limited leg articulation.

I believe it's a mistransformation. DOTM Barricade has a flipping panel in his chest to change from the normal straight fender to the bent one for robot mode.

Probably be ignored, but any chance for comparison pics with other figures? I'm still trying to get a handle on just how much smaller the DotM figures actually are.

I want to say pass, but for some reason the level of articulation really sells it for me.

Looks like I may actually be replacing my 2007 Deluxe.

I was a fan of Barricade in TF1, and the deluxe figure, then later, the ROTF Human Alliance one. Definitely picking this one up, looks great!

I'll stick with the HA version (which was hard as crap to find for awhile), but this is a really nice improvement over the original 2007 mold...

    Yeah That's what i'm thinking..
though based on the gaps on the left and right side it appears it could have a swivel that will make it look normal in vehicle mode.
Otherwise It's a definite no buy as the Car mode is like 60% of the reason to buy barricade..
