As a true to heart Superman fan, I really like this news. I did like Brandon though, so that's sad, because he really channeled Reeves, but I'll still be interested in where this is going.

I did too, but to be honest I think having a fresh cast is better than having leftovers from Singer's fanficboner of a movie.

Brainiac promises for some epic battles, something we've never really seen at this scale in the movies.

I'm glad to hear this. Maybe we will one day have a good Superman movie again. The only part that worries me is that WB is under the gun to get something out before the legal noose tightens. My fear is that the movie will end up suffering because they just want it wrapped and out the door.

But it's not JUST Luthor, which automatically makes this better the "Superman Returns".

I mean, I can live with Luthor being in every Superman movie as long as he's not the main threat. Cause.....you know...... that always makes it boring as shit.

Superman II wasn't JUST Luthor, but it would still have been a better film without him. The fucker's been in four of the five Superman films, let's give him a rest and do something different. Bring back Zod.

    Zombie Richard Pryor or GTFO.

I actually liked Returns, but don't necessarily want it to be continued. I view it more as a proper closing chapter to the first two Reeve movies, erasing the nonsense of III and IV. The team involved in this reboot is probably better than most possibilities, so I look forward to it. Not like, Dark Knight/Iron Man 2 look forward, but still...

superman is boring, unless you give him a villain that equals, or is more powerful then his strength, i agree, which is why superman demands darkseid, doomsday, and what not. which is WHY superman returns was boring. :lol  superman vs man with green glowing rock. yay?

Hackman/Spacey's Luthor was the crazy mad scientist Luthor. And if it's based on Man of Steel, he'll be billionaire industrialist Luthor, which could really be a nice change. If they find the right actor.

    Edit: Double Post. Sorry.

There's an article on i-Mockery about shit comic book characters. One of them is The Leader, one of Hulk's villains. The article says The Leader is "the perfectly obvious foil for the Hulk, being all-brains to the Hulk's all-brawn, which isn't nearly as clever as somebody thought it was." That's how I feel about Luthor. I don't want to see someone manipulating the media, I want to see someone who can go toe-to-toe with Superman and be a credible threat whilst blowing shit up with laser beam eyes.

Those people are stupid. The Leader is awesome. While Luthor is all "I'll make the people of Metropolis love me and hate you", Leader actually makes weapons and robots and bombs and steals powerful shit that he can use to kill the Hulk. The Leader can kick Luthor's ass!

SO SAYS THE LEADER! SO SAYS THE LEADER!
