This is my version 2 camo tumbler which is now on ebay (I'm also working on two commissioned ones)

This custom has been made using a 2005 DC toys tumbler, I have made several modifications to it including!

Modified more movie accurate chassis, this involved drilling/cutting out parts of the chassis to look more accurate

    Wire mesh air intake covers

Modified side windows and window arches

    Modified roof panels using styrene

modified front windshield sun visors using styrene

Front and rear suspension springs added (non working)

10 led headlights operated by switch located inside the car , The front windshield lifts up for easy access to the switch and for easy battery changes, the leds run off two AA batteries . The leds will run for 30-60hrs from the two AA batteries depending on quality of battery used.

Full camo repaint using acrylics, The camo pattern is very movie accurate and I used fan footage and videos to get the pattern as close to being accurate as possible

Painted and weathered metal parts and wheel rims

light battle damage and movie accurate weathering

    Added wind shield wipers

sanded down tyres to give a more used/worn look

Im also planning to build the artillery versions but these are proving pretty complex to design so Im going to build my new DOTM megs before I start on those.

very impressive. You should do the 1/6 scale R/C car from tyco that came out in 05' with Batman Begins.

Maybe you should get a non-functioning one and we could make it into a speech controlled tumbler...

For our senior design project in college, my group made a speech controlled robot. You could tell it to go forward, backward, left, right, and stop. I still have a duplicate of the circuit we used. I'd have to refresh my memory with it, but I'm pretty sure it allows enough commands that you could make the lights voice activated, too.

I was thinking it would be great for a TF custom some time, but it's a big circuit. Probably a little too big for a MP Optimus trailer. But if a tumbler is big enough...
