Following my Dark Knight Joker Repaint, I thought I'd give the Movie Master Scarecrow a go. Although I love the Batman Begins straightjacket version, I thought it might be nice to have a Scarecrow from the prologue of The Dark Knight.

I carefully cut the straightjacket off (ya never know, I might be able to use it later) first.

Then I used a dremel to reshape the existing arms to look more like regular suit sleeves. The arms were then sanded, primed and painted.

The suit jacket is from a Stormbreaker Darrius Sayle Figure (which I got for only 49 cents at KB Toys). It was also primed and repainted using Krylon Fusion Satin Black.

I used White Stuff to sculpt the shirt collar and tie.

I'm pretty happy with how this guy turned out. It was a nice distraction to work on him in between jobs this week.

I value any comments you might like to share. Thanks for taking a look!

Damn! You seriously beat me to it(I am planning on using a Goons body as the base).

Looks darn right awesome though, don't really like the straight Jacket version myself so this is great.

You can still find those Stormbreaker figures online and in a few stores. Much cheaper to get the jacket off one of those instead of using a Gotham Thug.

I look forward to seeing yours.

Yeah, I'd save the thug for another custom if you can get the cheaper figure.

I was thinking how cools this looks. But of course, we all do something different. I am going to do a fear face scarcrow with a bat hanging out of his mouth and a lighter. Do you have any clue where to find a little bat? Or should I just make it?

    This looks great.

Movie Master have great sculpts. I am kinda glad joker doesn't have as much paint detail as scarecrow, it makes for a fun little paint project.

The "Fear Face" Scarecrow sounds cool. All those little maggots crawling around. Yuck.

Yeah, I say just sculpt the little bat yourself. I bet you could sculpt it faster than the time it would take to hunt one down.

Still working on my Interrogation Room Joker and my Nurse Joker. Have a few more Dark Knight figures in the works too.

    Thanks a lot, RL!

Question: Can I submit all these Dark Knight customs (more to come) as one gallery entry or do you require 15 images of each custom?

considering they can not transform, you can do ten per fig. (that should still be easy, especially if you take group shots)

Honestly, you're short-changing your work if you don't give them each their own well-deserved gallery :)

I think I can muster 10 each. Side by side comparisons to the originals, in package, etc should fill in the gaps. Thanks!
