    Maybe a possible 4th film could be possible if they decide to use dark energon as a main plot point in the film. Tell me what you guys think and whether this could work.

    Maybe a human scientist finds a protoform. Examins it and tries to manipulate the Energon it has stored inside it so it can be used as Energy for our own planet. Experiment goes wrong, making the Energon manipulate itself into a more volatile, dangerous and powerful Dark Energon!

    Just a random thought :) .

    Could work, but I surely don't want Megatron coming back again.

    A fourth film hasn't even been confirmed yet, and honestly I'd rather that the Transformers movies stay a trilogy for now.

    But even if there IS a fourth movie, god forbid, then they really should stay away from Dark Energon. Because they'll probably go with using Unicron as the film's new spotlighted big bad, and I honestly think Unicron simply would not work at all in the movie series.

    Not to mention at the end of DOTM;
    Megatron, Starscream, AND Soundwave all bite the big one, two of them having lost their entire heads while the third was brutally shot up at point blank. Since those are the three "Big" name Decepticons, I can't see Hasbro continuing the movies when the biggest selling Decepticon was killed in a manner that left an axe sticking out of his brain, which was also removed from his body, which means he's even more dead than he was at the end of the first movie.

    Eh, if it's just to bring back all the dead Decepticons, I say do without and make Galvatron the new big bad as a separate character from Megatron, a la IDW, and bring in Cyclonus and Scourge as his underlings. They already brought Megatron back once - I'd prefer not to make a running gag out of it.

    Dark Energon is one of the lamest MacGuffins Transformers has ever produced. I hope once TF Prime is over it goes away forever.

    Dark Energon?

    No thanks. Hopefully it will fade away and be forgotten about in Prime as well.

    Although it probably won't.

    mmm lame mcmuffins.

    but true enough. I hate stories that have easy fix plot hole devices.

    Transformers has never been hampered by so many as in recent times.

    The less Dark Energon the better. I would much rather have an Isaac Sumdac like revival of Megatron than Dark Energon. Maybe have some scientist find his head or enough parts of it to rebuild him thinking he's rebuilding an Autobot or making his own counter part to the Autobots in case they attack Earth and Megatron taking control of the body. They could also have Dylan live and have him become a cyborg using parts of Megatron to survive, looking like Dr. Arkeville, and have Megatron take over his mind. Using Dark Energon would feel like a retread of ROFT.

    As long as there are no sentient resurrections, zombies moderately ok, but I'd prefer the "use Dark Energon to supercharge us" idea most. Straxus leading a big Decepticon cell with Jhiaxus being his top scientist.

    NO GALVATRON! OR RESURRECTING MEGATRON! LET HIM RUST IN THE PIT!

    Leave Megatron dead as a doorknob, at most bring Shockwave back.
