It's a possiblity , I would think it might be because he looks too much like Thundercracker. Well IMO.

I think the reason that he's looked darker in the clips from the show that we've seen, because he's always been in a darker setting. We haven't seen him in daylight yet, so that could actually be the shade of blue that he is in the show.

eBay is hardly the source of reliable info, but I wouldn't be surprised in this case if they cancelled that particular color scheme on Starscream-- it makes no sense to release a character named Starscream and give him Thundercracker's colors.

Its about time they did something to correct those kind of errors. Its saving collectors money buy not buying 1 Starscream that is blue and 1 Starscream that is in correct colors because I know of a guy who literally buys everything transformers as he often refers to himself as a completist or simply put it he buys everything, every TF toys produced in twos and even two repaints.

Interesting. Though I'd hardly say that a guy whom has a prototype (who in heck knows how he 'acquired' it) is a reliable source of information. However, it wouldn't surprise me at this point if they did change his colors as he looks way too much like Thundercracker (and they did say they were kicking around the idea of having TC in Animated).

He looks AWESOME in the colors he is in now.

If they change him back to the Star Spangled Banner he's a no-go for me.

I've just got one thing to say about this:

Does anyone remember when we first saw auctions of Rescue Ratchet and Voyager Thundercracker for the Movie line? The seller of those items also said they were "canceled, not going to be released", and obviously that did not happen.

My advice - wait until you see the packaged sample, or just wait until you buy one from the store and are holding it in your hands. At this point, anything is possible. Heck, maybe we'll get both colourschemes and more besides, perhaps Hasbro will make a couple of Seeker repaints on this one. I wonder how he'd look in red?

we're gonna get half a dozen repaints of Starscream anyways lol If you don't like the pruple one, wait for the G1 colored version, and the Skywarp version, and the Thundercracker version, and the Sunstorm version, and the clear version, etc, etc, etc

Too early to be seeing Starscream repaints. This may be the final version and the Ebay seller is like "Durrr" or it could be one of many concept visual pieces to determine which colors flow best.

    That's all.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'll wait for an official product unveiling by Hasbro instead of taking the word of some guy on eBay.

Personally, I think these colors do flow best, and people need to look beyond the Thundercracker/Starscream/Skywarp standard.

Starscream was blue in Armada, for a while. It wouldn't be the first time. However, I would prefer a lighter blue-gray, if not gray or white.

I think they will though. Animated Starscream isn't required to follow the classic G1 Starscream colors.

True. Though when you think about it, Prime Megs and Bumblebee are sharing their 'traditional' colours with G1 counterparts. Would make sense for Starscream to be the same. Though then again this is somewhat debunked with Animated prowl being a short black motorbike.

There's always the possibility that they want to release a Thundercracker and Skywarp later in the line, so they're gonna change the color of the standard one.

We'll know for sure at Botcon, I guess...
