Added spoiler tags for those who are too lazy to respect the forum rules.

I really don't see how that's spoilers considering the source material. Hell even the devs have said that anyone that knows the Divine Comedy will know where the series is going after this game.

FYI, Some people prefer the lighthearted comedy of Molière, or the introspective style of Pascal.

So spoilers prevail. Don't assume everyone knows their middle-age literature.

    But..it's taught in schools.

Hell, knowing the next game will be based off of Purgatorio is like knowing say...that the second LotR movie was gonna be the Two Towers.

The games takes a lot of liberties, and supposedly has two endings. I really don't see how marking spoilers is an issue.

It only has 1 ending, there's not even a way it could possibly have a second ending.

And people do tend to exaggerate some of the liberties it's taken. Yes some of the plot throughout the game differs..fairly extensively from the poem. But Visceral Games set out to adapt the Divine Comedy to a video game format, so the second game in the series (since they did say this would be a series) being Purgatory cannot possibly be a spoiler.

    There's another game SPOILER...

Judging by the end when Dante cast his cross from his torso and it turned to
ash then to a Snake I think that Lucifer snuck a part of himself onto Dante.

Just starting Heresy. Good stuff. I actually find it less repetitive than god of war even though I find it has less enemy variety.

Hey now, you might want to put a spoiler tag on there, some people might not know that Heresy is one of the circles you go to in the game, not everyone's read the poem or played the game yet.

    Has anyone else done the
    Cleopatra
    battle? Seeing
nipples open up as mouths, as babies with blades for hands crawl out
    was pretty intense.

Finished it, took 5 hours and fifty-two minutes. Really short but I thoroughly enjoyed the game.

The end was spoiled but it still seemed kind of WTF? Hopefully a sequel won't be in development for 3 years.

I'm curious as to whether or not some people went to High School or something, the Inferno at the very least is generally required reading, and I doubt the subject would be brought up in school without at least mentioning the remaining parts of the Comedy.

    *grumbles*

The Divine Comedy was something I read in both Highschool and College as should have others but whatever. I liked the game skeptical of a 2nd game.

As (blasphemous?) :D  as it might sound, I actually like the combat in this game better than the God of War games.

    Just my opinion.
