Currently two hours in and starting to smash through the gluttony level. Good stuff. Nice to play this game and not be a bald-stuck-in-the-closet-spartan.

You See You see this is how the Leviathen Plain should have looked like in Hellraiser II.

About an hour and a half in, got through Lust and starting Gluttony.

I LOVE the combat in this game. Not as awesome control wise as Bayonetta, but still f-n' rad!

    Very happy with this purchase.

I love the theme of this game much more than god of war, so I will most likely be getting this somewhere down the road.

Barely got through the gates of hell. Pretty fun so far. Gonna play it again when I get some more time. The controls seem simpler than Darksiders. Kinda wish it had rotating camera angles instead of that R stick being the dash, but oh well.

Since I don't own a PS3, Dante's Inferno will give me my GOW fix. It looks like it'll be fun, but I'll wait until it goes on sale as a greatest hits or something. Dante's design looks totally badass and that Scythe is awesome.

That's because Darksiders is more Zelda/Legacy of Kain than it is God of War, whereas this is...God of War.

Anyways finished the game a few hours ago and in all I was very satisfied with it, probably a solid 8.5 from me. Had some minor complaints here or there, mostly with enemy reuse instead of new enemies for the later circles. But in all it was a really good time, definitely gonna be playing through it again.

Damn you finished it already? How long is it? Is there extra stuff to do? Sorry about all the questions but im thinking about buying this game, hopefully sooner than later.

It's not that long. Got the game Monday night/Tuesday morning. Played for a couple hours before getting some sleep and going to work. Played off and on on Tuesday. Then played a couple solid sessions today, finishing around 3 or 4. Don't think the game gives an actual playtime, but I figure it's probably between 8 and 12 hours depending on the player. Some of the circles are pretty short, others go on a decent bit longer. There's a decent number of collectibles/things to find, some of which I don't think you can get until Resurrection Mode (New Game+). After finishing you unlock a new, harder difficulty and the Gates of Hell Arena (basically you fight 50 waves of enemies in a timed setting, you start with 5 minutes and completing a wave adds 30 seconds to your remaining time, absolving/punishing enemies adds 5 seconds).

I'll probably play through it again at least once more, had a really good time with it.

I've debated about getting this game but it is sort of on my lower list to get. I mean it is just nearly almost God of War but hey, I can wait till I get my other games before I get it. I know probly once I get it though I will end up saying why in the hell didn't I get it before.

Just wondering did the game leave hints for a sequel?

Not played it, but since the Divine Comedy also has Purgatory and Heaven, I'd imagine if it's successful they'll plunder those as well.

The 1st games Story is a SOLID 9/10
The gameplay is a SOLID 8/10

Gameplay needs to be completely overhauled for next installment
looking foward to seeing Dante's Purgatory.

In the midst of Greed as of last night. I find some of the puzzles far more difficult than any of the boss fights. Seriously.

I must have spent ages on the crazy-ass puzzle in Gluttony. :lol

After that I actually bought the game guide. Man, does that help. :D

I was wondering since the game is loosely based on the poem will it go on a tangent once they covered all the basic ideas best known in the Divine Comedy.

So the sequel will be the 9 Circles of Heaven? xp
