    :duel  the moral of this thread is: you got to be quicker than the next. i've gotten some really good stuff for really dirt cheap prices because i know if i say "i'll just wait a bit", it'll be gone.

    My problem was I thought the same thing too. But waited to long and forgot about the entire thing! OOOOPS!

    I've used the "auto-bid" function a couple of times..knowing just how much $$ I was willing to spend..the time it went way above my highest bid..I was sad, but won another bid the following week for the same item and it was $20 lower too!!

    on ebay i usually just put the max on the auto-bid. and if i don't win, then that's good because i probably would've bid more

    3 years ago there was a lot of Gobots selling for real cheap, like $3 or so. I watched for a bunch of MOSC Cy-Kills at $12, no reserve. I've lost all of them in the last second with someone else placing a $70 bid on them. I'm sure they were all scam bids, though.
