So, now that it's almost done the building stage, i decided to show everyone the progress.

Just as a refresher, and for those that don't know the character, Nova Prime was a "prime" before Optimus and Sentinal. He was a corrupt ruler who dissapeared into the dead universe, and eventually re-emerged as the being known as Nemesis Prime.

For my custom I wanted to Base it off the concept drawings Don had shown in the Optimus Prime Spotlight. a few differences of that version from the comic drawn version are the head, wing design and body shape.

These next 2 pictures are early ones of the basic and alt modes. From the time they were taken, there was a lot more detail added.I will take more pics of these modes another time.

    [ATT]3339[/ATT]

    [ATT]3340[/ATT]

the next image shows the progression of the Super Mode chest.

    [ATT]3341[/ATT]

These final 2 images show it's current progress with wings attached.

    [ATT]3342[/ATT]

    [ATT]3343[/ATT]

More work still needs to be done to the wings and some minor details to the rest of the body, but no more will be shown till those are done and primer is applied.

    Enjoy!

Dude! That's one of the best customs I've ever seen. If this doesn't place 1st place then Hasbro and FunPub is smoking something.

Wowza, that is a work of art!!!. The details are amazing, but to figure out the transformation process from just 2 pictures and add all those joints is VERY impressive indeed. I've done SW customs, superheroes and sculpted actor's faces, but I'll contend that Transformers customizing is the most difficult of all because the you have to balance the engineering aspect of the tranformation process, excessive joints and esthetics "liberties" that artists often add in robot mode. Artists like yourself, Anemis, Viagra Prime, to name a few, are very talented.

    HOLEEEEE....!!!

I don't have much to add to the general climate of awe in this thread. That's a really nice piece o' work you got there. Not only does it look on-model, but he looks COOL! The proportions and the postures are really dynamic!

Solid! Now just don't screw up the paint! ;)

This thing is turning out to be FREAKING AMAZING!!! That is extremely impressive. I have to admit, when I first saw this project at the start, I had serious doubts about how it would turn out. But it's turned out amazing. Looking forward to seeing it painted!!
