This might not belong here, but I'm posting it here anyways.

What is the best Gundam for Dai Atlas? I haven't found a good representation of him, so I wanted to know your thoughts.

^yeah the first transforming figure he has had since g1.

for dai atlas there was the g1 figure, there was a pvc, then there was the wonderfest posable figure that was similar to a revoltech, and now there is the alternity

I'm no Gundam fan, but I saw this and I assume it is. Ok, the colours aren't Dai Atlas-y but you could always repaint it, if your going to risk it. Also, wait to see what the Alternity version looks like, it could look good or crap like Starscream's.

I'm sure there was a Dai Atlas that transformed in the first Universe series. I think it was a repaint of Machine Wars Starscream. Called King Atlas though.

Its a remold of Goryu from the Brave DVD line. But those figures (Sunrise Mecha Action line) are notorious for the broken joints. My friend had to return his dai Atlas to the store 3 times before getting a none broken one.

As much as DA has some Gundam-esque elements (mostly just 'cause of the Japanese-Super-Robot-Ness of both), I can't say I've ever seen ANY Gundam that comes even remotely close to looking like DaiAtlas. Starsaber, maybe, he's got more Gundam in him than most TFs, but not DA.

If you just want a nice stand-in, and aren't fussed about either the details or the scale, I would suggest either "King Atlas" who was a repaint of SkyQuake/MW StarScream, and is an intentional DA homage, the colors and over al design more or less evoke DA. The Wonderfest is the perfect representation of the character, only it is tiny.

Alternately, it's VERY easy to get a cheap G1 Knock off of DaiAtlas (he's been a favorite KO subject) or if you want to go a little priceier, the Brave/Yuusha version of the mold is a great option at a reasonable price, basically just a few accent colors changed.

The G1 toy design is kind of clunky and oddly proportioned in that late-Japanese-TF kind of way, but isa super-fun mold!

Considering Alternity Dai Atlas will be turning into a sports car, he probably isn't the best representation of the original character. Universe King Atlas could work nicely, though, with a few paint apps to improve the resemblance.

If you really want to go with a Gundam, I always thought the Infinite Justice, with a lot of tweaking and recoloring, could make for an interesting, almost Neo-G1 Classics-style Dai Atlas. There are a lot of Gundams that probably look more like him, though.

I don't really care as long as he looks remotely like his g1 look.

Nope. We're apparently getting four retools of the existing molds: Dai Atlas (Convoy), Galvatron (Megatron), Goldbug (Bee/Cliff), and Banzaitron (Seekers).

Where can you find the Goryu repaint exactly?

I've fiddled with Alternity Megs and OPrims, not overly impressed.

I'm interested in the CJ/BB Alternity maybe I'll grab one.

    On topic:

I would definitely grab a Universe King Atlas as my Dai Atlas stand in.

I think a modded ZZ Gundam would make for a decent Dai-Atlas update.

A pity that the current selection of models for that one are pretty crappy. The new HGUC is probably too small, and the MG is quite old and outdated.

I have King Atlas and the Wonderfest Dai Atlas as well as a KO G1 Dai Atlas.
I prefer Wonderfest Dai Atlas over the other 2.
