We do already know that Shockwave is indeed a quadruple-changer for Transformers: Animated. With that said, will an Autobot named Dai Atlas will return as a quadruple-changer, as he was before in the original Japanese series? Remember, Dai Atlas has been recently confirmed for season 3.

i feel like if hes in it at all, he'll be on the Grand Council. though i think a triple changer would be cool, esp. if we get a toy

I personally don't think we'll see any more quadruple-changers. Only reason Shockwave has four modes is because two of them are variations on his own two-modes, and are used as a disguise. Another triple-changer would be nice, but I'm not sure we'll see any more of them either.

I think we would get Dai Atlas as a quadruple changer, just so they have one for the Autobots.

I don't really see how a base mode would work.
    Unless he's really big.

I'd be ok with him just being a drill tank.
We don't get many of those nowadays.

Odds are he won't get a toy, since he'll probably be a cameo character.

Though the series has established "no other flying Autobots" in Jetfire & Jetstorm's origin so he'll probably just have the drill tank mode if he transforms.

While I'd love to see Dai Atlus as flying drill tank, like Sol Fury said, the Autobots can't fly. So, I'll be very happy if he winds up as a drill tank, with the giant letter "Z" shaped sword! :D

As for him having four modes, I'd be quite satisfied if he just gets a toy! :)  I'm quite happy to see that a Japanese only character will be appearing in an American based Transformers cartoon, not to mention a character (though admittedly a leader) who only previously appeared in one episode of animation! Just as long as he still comes with the giant letter "Z" shaped sword! :D

Can you tell I'm looking forward to this design? :lol  :)

I wonder how well Prowl and Jazz have been selling?
Because if ninja sell well. Then it might boost up Atlas's chance of getting a toy.

Unless I'm just being a wishful thinker.

Well if Atlas is the most badass master ninja in Cybertron, and shows up in a episode with screentime enough, he could get a toy and I bet that a good guy ultra ninja would sell more than somebody like Soundwave.

Sadly, TF Zone only had one actual episode, and a bunch of story pages, so getting a good grasp of his personality is difficult. Basically he's your typical brave and noble Autobot Supreme Commander, though not as overly dramatic as Star Saber. He struck me as being more down to earth than Saber too.
