Is it just me or is the music they play on cybertron (when jack is riding arcee, right before she transforms and says an engine noise can attract vermin) sound really TRON like? like TRON mixed with transformers prime listen at 20:00 EDIT: oops spelt cybertron wrong in title!
I think that was Autobots on the Move part of the score. Transformers Prime Score- Autobot On Move - YouTube I've always thought it sounded like it was from Tron Legacy.
Not Tron. Just edited version of the cool song from the Nemesis invasion back in One Shall Fall. Plus Tron style music would only fit shiny healthy Cybertron, dead rusty Cybertron wouldn't go with that kind of music.
Tron Legacy - Soundtrack OST - 07 Rinzler - Daft Punk - YouTube i would like something like this for the fight against the Vermin.
Listening around 20:00 when Jack and Arcee are heading toward Kaon, it sounded a little Tron-ish to me (the scene when she notes about engine noise, though, I didn't get any Tron music vibe) - possibly the slight electronic beat in the background of it.
It's the violin. The Tron Legacy soundtrack has a very distinctive violin line that goes through most of the songs, that one segment that captures the mix of relief and tension of the momentary rest and evokes anticipation of the coming storm. While it is prominent throughout the whole soundtrack it is hidden behind the synth in the vast majority of the pieces. This track, however, contains most of the violin in it's "purest" form: Tron Legacy - Soundtrack OST - 04 Recognizer - Daft Punk - YouTube Both Tyler and Daft Punk play on the same instrument to bring about the same feeling and they both convey the said feeling magically, that's why that composition reminded you of Tron. There are also some similarities between Tylers work and the compositions Hans Zimmer did for Inception.
