    like i said before it doesnt really matter who turned into who, as they were completly new bots. unlike megatron who was given an new body. just listen what unicron says.

    i look at it like this, they're all scourge, and they're all cyclonus.

    kind'a like the clones in star wars. they're all the same dude over and over and over again.

    aka canon fodder. :lol

    I illustrated the fact that Beast Wars wasn't any better/worse than G1. The only difference is if you want a serving of grimdark with your robits, which I don't. Not only that, I wasn't even addressing you when I said it.

    IMHO of course, I've always looked at Unicron's minions like this:

    Skywarp --> Cyclonus
    Thundercracker --> Scourge
    Insecticon Clones --> Sweeps

    Sweeps could also clone themselves.

    Rumble is blue. At least in animation.

    Interesting logic. And the Sweeps did all have similar voices.

    My opinion on the issue of who became Cyclonus and Scourge is that this conversation kinda sucks.

    I have to disagree, as I find these conversations fun and engaging, as long as everyone is being calm, cool, and collected.

    If only they'd showed more about the rebulding of Cyclonus and Scourge (or even Galvatron) we'd have more to go on...

    "I was able to save Skywarp's left arm, but decided on total body replacement. Can you hear what I'm saying? It doesn't matter, I'm going to blank your memories anyway. Better lose the arm..."

    "Our studies have shown the importance of Beard Recognition Factor in the acceptance of authority..."

    "The fastest reflexes my technology has to offer, onboard linked memory and corrective stimulus application, and a lifetime of battlefield experience. I would like to present... Scourge, the tracker!"

    Nope. They have as many as 3 distinct voices per episode, however they have no true voice of their own. They were treated as extras and share the voices of whichever voice actors were in that episode. That's why when Chris Latta returned to do Starscream in those eps, one of the Sweeps is clearly Latta.

    And I'm glad others noticed, it's the Sweeps that have the power to clone, *not* Scourge. There were at least a few situations where Scourge was alone or with Cyclonus and would have greatly benefitted from spawning half a squad of Decepticons but didn't. More Sweeps only appeared when Sweeps were around.

    And as Sweep birthing was meant to be a magical process, it was never shown on camera. I believe in FFOD3 or 4 and Dark Awakening, we can see the Sweeps standing there taking orders and when the camera cuts back to Galvatron, then back to them, they suddenly have 1 or 2 extra members.

    I tallied Sweeps deaths and voices somewhere along with their numbers over the courses of episodes, don't have the text file at the moment, but I think there are usually 2 distinct Sweeps (distinct by voice) but 3 happens often enough to perhaps bolster the hypothesis Cyclonus' Armada had robot-reassignment surgery and became the 3rd Sweep.

    I'm gonna go straight to it:
    In the movie, Bombshell is most definitely Cyclonus..
    In my mind, I far prefer to think it's definitely Skywarp. The personality, and the symmetry of having ThunderC being Scourge-
    So,
    Megatron - Galvatron.
    Thundercracker - Scourge.
    Skywarp - Cyclonus.
    Bombshell and the insecticons - His Armada and the Sweeps.
    It's symmetrical, it's sensible, and for me- it's canon.

    As a kid, I never really thought about who became who. I guess I pretty much thought of Cyclonus and Scourge as new characters. However, as an adult I do believe that Skyarp, Thundercracker, and the Insecticons's laser cores/personality components/sparks did become those of the new characters.

    When watching the movie, the appearance is that Bombshell became Cyclonus. But the appearance is also that Skywarp became a similar looking character. And not even two minutes later, one of the two is gone, and there's an additional sweep. So who's to say which "Cyclonus" became the additional sweep, and which one was the real Cyclonus. I've always just found it easier to think of purple becoming purple, blue becoming blue, and the three insecticons becoming the three sweeps. However, that's just my opinion. And anyone who thinks that Bombshell is the one that became Cyclonus is absolutely correct as far as I'm concerned.

    By the way, has anyone ever included a poll in one of these threads? I'm kind of curious to see what percentage of TFW members think what.
