Even though I really like Hasbro's paint scheme on Cyclonus, I really wanted to see a purple version that was closer to the movie and season 3 of the show, but not as wimpy-looking as the Henkei version. I primarily used Don's rendition of him from IDW's comic book adaptation of the animated movie as my guide. Now that I see it in pictures, it looks a little plain, so I might go back and add in some details, mainly on the chest. Until then, I hope you like it.

THIS is the color scheme Cyclonus should have had. You did a great job transferring his cartoon colors to real life. I'm guessing the forearms are Testors Purple Metal Flake?

For details you could add his darker purple(?) details on his ears and wings. Also his goatee

Actually, it's Folk Art Metallic Plum acrylic paint on the forearms. I thought about doing something with the ears, but I don't want them to pop too much, otherwise they look too much like rabbit ears. I think I'll add some black to it, although I kind of like the wings silver.

You've taken everything I like about the US release & the Henki release & slapped them together.
    Outstanding.

Very nice, love the purple shade on Cyclonus, but i can't be bothered to repaint the entire figure, so i'll have to bear with the light purple Henkei. Wished it was darker... :(

I would've never known that folkart paint would be ever usable on action figures.I tend to use the stuff mostly on sculpting. but I assume that it really works well

It's not bad at all. I'm sure there's better out there but my funds are limited these days and the paint's pretty cheap. This is my fourth repaint with the stuff and I'm yet to be disappointed.

Nicely done sir, I agree with your choice of paint. I also like the Unicron repaint as well.

The shot w/ the Universe Galvatron makes me happy that I did not pickup that mold, so clunky and in comparison to Cyclonus, so SMALL.

All you need now is a Titanium Scourge.

I agree completely. It's disappointing when you look at Cyclonus and see how cool Galvatron could have been.
