They are simple, it is true. They are hollow, it is true.

I still think they will be a lot of fun for kids. Don't know if I will get them, since have A LOT of toys right now. Maybe is time to stop.

    Wait- these are replacing RID?
    Damn.
I guess I keep confusing these with the Evergreen stuff. So are they targeting younger kids than they were with RID?

That I'm unsure of. If I remember correctly, a teaser for Cyberverse from a looong time ago stated that it was directed to kids-preteens. I could be wrong, but I'm sure Cyberverse is aimed at RID's audience and younger kids.

I dunno about how you people played with toys as a kid, but when I was a kid, I wouldn't even blink at the fact Megatron has no elbow articulation, he'd be getting smashed against shit and pointing the cannon at other bots all day long. These are all fine for that age range, I think they actualy look better than those One-step things since they're aimed at kids but still have a cool battle gimmick instead of JUST transformation.

Oy vey the negativity.  They are KIDS toys.  I think they look better than previous attempts at some kids\' lines lines.  I\'m not sure anyone posting here reads IDW, b/c Optimus is clearly based on the recent artwork in his own title.  I believe Kei Zama is the artist.  It\'s bot mode is the spitting image and it\'s actually the most comic accurate Prime they have ever done as I can see.  I\'m not 100% sure that\'s enough for me to buy, will wait until seeing it, but sure hope they do something like that as a Voayger in WFC.  Maybe it\'s hopeful to get kids interested in the media, but seeing as it\'s likely largely adults reading IDW you would think that adherence to detail would take place in one of the collector lines.  That\'s what frustrates the hell out of me.

I agree with other concerned sparks that the MSRP is too damn high. Though I’m not sure that running Hasbro as a Worker Cooperative might change much, I’m always for trying a little Autonomism.

Still, cursory googling for “transformers Cyberverse + ages and up” mostly got me some 2011 figures, so, more simply, @bellpeppers & @Nemesis Otaku, I think it’s the same age bracket as RID since there’s still the rescue bots.

And, it’s fine if they focus on kids toys so long as Third Parties get on some Windblade and Slipstream lovin’, for starters :D

But, most of all, I just wanted to say that it looks like Prime has a B-cell or Klaxosaur infection like in Blue Gender or Darling in the Franxx, respectively

if he's kramer i'm worried he'll just start slinging slurs at someone in the audience...

wait, slinging slurs. slur-slinger. we're getting a slugslinger in cyberverse!! i cracked the code!

"ultimate" must mean something different at hasbro. I mean for the 4-6 crowd I'm sure it's ok but they are both rather disappointing

I bought my kids a couple of the last knight turbo changers and they lost interest pretty quickly. The ultra and ultimate class look like slightly better versions of those toys. I think the bigger issue is that we need a good cartoon that my kids want to watch.

My focus will be the Warrior Class for my own collection this time around, but these gimmick figures, for what they are, actually look pretty good. I'd definitely get some of these for my younger brother, as these look like his kind of fun: big, durable, and easy to transform.

Why can’t they design a simplified Optimus that doesn’t have half the grill jutting out off his hands... I feel there is a solution there they aren’t thinking of....

    Just the opposite:
I wished my Tauntaun had greater range of motion.
I wished my Star Wars figures had greater range of motion.

I never got another Star Wars figure when GI Joe with all their articulated awesomeness came out. GI Joes fit in my Star Wars vehicles.
Then came the swivel arm battle grip...
And beams of light came down from the heavens with a chorus of angels singing.

So even as a kid I liked better toys. A lot of us did.
