Just saw this on the sightings page Dave's Transformers Site. Dave's Transformers Page - Sightings Apparently Hasbro is hiking the price up of the regular legions(Not the commanders mind you), to ten bucks per. Can anyone else confirm this? This seems like a rather disgusting price hike. -_-
It was a Walmart. Typically they don't up prices like that. Edit: If this was a TRU, I'd not be overly suprised. Walmart though, is what threw me off guard.
Oh yeah, there's a fifty cent increase here as well in the Wal-Marts. Disappointing, but I shop at Target.
$10 legions seems a bit extreme, especially when it risks leap-frogging the next size-class Feels like the store mixed up Legion and Commander price points to me

oh you guys....Xmas is around the corner. Stores have to artificially inflate prices now so that when they drop it back to normal they can call it a "Sale"
Yeah. Legions not commanders. That's the part that got me. if it was commander's, I'd just not even mention it. But regular legions that are 10 bucks? That's a several dollar price hike.
That said, we'll see if it's just a Fluke, which I hope it is, when the third wave starts showing up in other places.
I agree with this. I just don't see them raising the price to the same level as the commanders on purpose.
$10 US works out at... £6.38 which is expensive for a Legion, I can grab a Commander here in the UK for around that if I know where to look. Typically I grab Legions here at £5 (or less), which works out at $7.84 US, but TRU are currently charging £7.99 for a DOTM Legion right now. £7.99. Thats $12.53 US! No wonder they're not shifting.
If the past is any indication the price raises are two months too soon for that (usually starts end of September and all of october). 50 cents sounds more like a normal price price increase.
Yes, clearly it's not a fluke or error and they're doubling the price of Legions. To the point that they're more expensive than the next price class. Obviously. ... c'mon guys, seriously? Who actually believes this?
What I think? They meant to increase it by $0.50; and they increased it by $5.00. Them pesky decimals.
