    Here he is:

The green I used probably was too dark, but I can live with it. I gave him a bit of a "dirty" look, especially in 'bot mode, because he's an engineer and as anybody who's been around engineers knows, looking good takes a back seat to work in the mind of an engineer. :D

    Quick rundown of the changes:

    New paint

    Altered head sculpt

    removed engine

    did rotating neck mod

    added chrome

filled in the gap between the grill claws, killing the gimmick.

Smoothed over the roof texture making it a hardtop.

Filled in the holes where the guns attach to car mode (back of car).

Cut plastic off of the door wings to give him slimmer/more defined shoulders.

Everything is awesome, but I think you should have stuck with Downshift's unmodified original head and just repainted it.

I was thinking of doing that, but Downshift's head just doesn't say "Wheeljack" to me. Downshift looks darker, meaner, harder....like a warrior. Wheeljack looks more round and a bit harmless. I just wanted to soften the head up a bit to be an engineer and not a killer.

I love it! there's only one thing that seems ever so slightly off to me, and that's the bottom of the head. maybe paint the base that green color or something, so the bottom of his head doesn't blend in with the base?

It looks great, and should blend in with the classics pretty well when they come out!

I demand someone photoshop that alt mode onto a pic of of traffic. It's so detailed at first glance you'd almost think it was a pic of a real car. Especially nice job on the chrome lining the windows.

Lovely paint work as everyone else has said. That car mold looks really spiffy with the G1 inspired pattern.

Just a tip: Either don't put the clearcoat on yet, or put another coat of clearcoat on after you do the stripes. It gives a nice smooth surface.
