with a bit more refinement, and a less gloppy paintjob, i would sooooo want to buy that. the head doesn't say sunstreaker to me. maybe a head swap, but wicked idea.

I'll be darned! I never imagined that mold as a Sunstreaker homage...it really does look good in that color.

Not really seeing Sunstreaker, but when you paint Hot Shot into yellow...you get a good Hot Shot. I'd like that as an official repaint with some red on the legs.

Not bad at all. Head swap would sell it even more, but still a good job.

I think for the most part you applied your yellow well. Is your method paintbrushes perhaps? If so, yellow can be a tough color to paint this way.

My suggestions would be to try using sandpaper and water inbetween coats (if your method is in fact brushes). Also, I'd suggest breaking up some of that yellow in bot mode by painting some of the panels a different color (G1 SS does sport black and red both as secondary colors). I think you have enough comments on the head to know that may be a potential work area to, so I won't :horse:

I think you've got something really good going! Good job and keep 'em coming!

    Thanks for your comments everyone.

I usually use Krylon Fusion or some other plastic specific spray for large areas.
Couldn't find any this time so I went with an all purpose yellow.
I really had to lay it on thick to get any coverage, thus the bit of gloppiness in some areas.
It also chips off very easily compared to the Fusion paints.
All of the black and silver is brush painted Testors Enamel.
