The one I have the most trouble with is that Darth Vader Death Star, that guy is even worse!

It can be tricky to align the legs in vehicle mode sometimes, it's true. Sometimes I get 'em straight in first time, other times it takes a bit of wiggling and peering into the side to try and see where the peg and hole are...

    I love the fig, though.

Had a MISB and a loose one. Sold the MISB one but the ebay buyer flaked out. Ended up selling the loose one and keeping the MISB in his box. Best transformer EVER to keep MISB. =)

I have one, he's a great figure except for the kibble on his arms (the nose kibble on his right arm really looks bad to me) and the slightly painfull trasformation from robot to plane.

Very cool figure, but ya he's a pain to transform. I've hardly transformered him at all since I bought him. Energon Mirage was also frusterating to transform, he was a very awsome figure to.

I have always thought that Energon Mirage had a brilliant and elegant transformation.

It seems like it should be complicated, but once you know how it folds up, it's really quite ingenious.

I hear people complain about his design all the damn time.

No offense, but I've never understood what was so challenging about him. His whole design just makes sense to me. I don't know...could just be one figure where I'm not on the same page as most everyone else.

It's not the challenge of transforming Slugslinger that makes it bad, it's getting the plane mode to stay together that sucks. It's a floppy mess and I'm glad I sold mine off.

As for C. Soundwave, it's an ok figure, but not great. The tranformable Laserbeak is a better figure in its own right.

I feel the same regarding Darth Vader Death Star. My son got him for Christmas and, granted, the 1st transform was a little challenging...but EVERY one after that was simple. I wonder if some were just produced in a bad batch where the panels would not line up (???)

I think the transformation for Slugslinger is great however it doesn't work well with a deluxe sized figure. If it was a voyager sized figure and used harder plastic it might have held together better IMO.
