Another Wrecker for the DESTROYER team. It's triple-changer Sandstorm in his IDW inspired Cybertron form!

I'm sleepy (almost 4am) but I wanted to get these pics up before I crash. There are probably some last minute paint touch ups I'll need to do later but whatever. :)
    Hope yall like em!

Guyz I'm back to taking commissions of any type with about a 1 week wait to start, so hit me up with any inquiries!

I was pretty skeptical about the base figure choice, then I saw the flight mode. Bitchin'.

Thanks guys. Getting a passable flight mode out of WFC Soundwave was the biggest challenge on this guy for sure.

I think it looks really good. Not crazy about the head for Sandstorm though.

I love what you did, but he just seems... to bright. Consider changing the head a little and make him an animated style? It'd work.

Because you still see Soundwave? Understandable but if you look at the original toy and the attached IDW pic, this is almost exactly what Sandstorm's head looks like.
To change it from SW to SS I just shaved the sides down a bit, shaved down and resculpted his middle forehead part, and sanded a flat front to his faceplate.

It'd work for you, but the customer paid for bright clean paint jobs with very minor wear, metallic on any that it fits with, heavy armed, and a mix of Cybertron and Earth forms for his 12 Wreckers. Certainly nothing near Animated or dull flat colors.
The original toy, g1, and IDW was pretty brightly colored too.

I understand you tried to make him look more like the reference pics but I still see Sondwave when I see his head.

The head looks fine, wish you had axed the front spikes though, painted the chest orange, and painted the windows just above where the chest goes in car mode. It'd separate it more from Soundwave in both modes.

Thanks. I see what you mean but I was going for the IDW look with the silver cockpit chest, and I did make him a new styrene chest to make it different from Soundwave too. :)
I felt like the front spikes needed to stay to go with the side front spikes that I made wings in flight mode.
