First Impressions:Despite the flame deco's, the car mode comes off as rather bland next to other Cyberton car molds. The robot mode has the same issues as Armada Sideways, but they are overshadowed by the new head sculpt. While the head sculpt is nice, the lack of paint aps make it fall short of its potential. Alt. Mode:Nice and bland...The panels fit poorly, leaving unsightly gaps. This combined with the paint on the clear red pieces not matching the plastic results in a sub-par alt. mode. The cyber key gimmick is pointless. On a postitive note, the flip up gun is neat. Overall, Runamuck is a nice addition to your Decipticon army. His shortcomings are overlooked when he can blend in with other transformers on a shelf. Buy him if you are jonesing for a toy fix. 6/10
the only reason i got him is because it was the only one, and i just *love* buying the last one... ...that way no one else can have it!
If he came in a two pack later down in the lime with Runabout I'd be tempted to buy him, but now I'll wait for the clearance islle
In this shot, he looks like something you'd see in the parking lot at the local vo-tech. His doors and roof look like they are just primer, and the red tint and flames complete the "flunking out of auto shop" look. It needs a little shirtless driver, preferably with a mullet. I actually like it!
I must be a masochist, because I bought Runamuck. The head sculpt is not worth buying another Sideswipe IMO Now, back to looking at my custom Alternator Runabout (Battle Ravage with a modified Armada Skywarp head)
I just threw up a little in my mouth. Whoever designed that is going to die a slow, painful, and embarrassing death.
The color difference between the gray plastic and the red transparent plastic painted gray is more noticable in photos than in person. Hey, it's a big improvement on the original Runamuck!
Why does Hasbro insist on repainting this turd over and over? It's arguably one of the worst TF molds ever.
But remember that, in this case, Hasbro can't take all the blame for doing something as horrible as bringing back this TF mold. Takara did their fair share too!
Actually, this one is all Takara's fault. Hasbro is just using it as line filler. As was stated above, it IS better than the mold that it's originally based from. And I would be one of those who would buy this one more time for the white version as Runabout. (despite that the white one was Runamuck and the black one was Runabout.)
