These are my 2 custom transformers. They both are works in progress and I plan on finishing them with some help from tfw2005. This is my first attempt at this. I used standard acrylic paint and next time plan on using a different medium because this doesn't go on as smooth and looks layered after a while. I am beside myself on making them look worn and beaten up or to just finish up this way and polish the line work. Also should I be spraying the acrylic paint with some sort of clear coat to make the paint more glossy. I am open to discussion. Just please keep in mind that these are rough copies and are nowhere near finished. Thanks.

I use Tamiya acrylic, dont know what kind you used but I've learned you're better off making it thinner (consistency of milk) than it usually comes out of the jar. It'll take more coats, but atleast it'll be more even and it wont dry too fast or too thick. You can spray clear acrylic for a glossy look, keep the can or airbrush close (6-8" away) with a slow deliberate sweep for high gloss shiny look, or further away with a faster motion for semi-gloss or matte. Play with it a while to get the feel for it before you put it to a figure, even if you screw up its paint, you can always do it again.

Very interesting figures! I like the Devastator. I'd go worn with Dev and smooth with Hot Rod.

Devastator would look really good if you gave it a wash man and bring out some of that detail!!

Cybertron Prime into Devastator and Cybertron Override into Hot Rod... that's certainly original and unexpected.

So, Devastator got tired of only coming out when they combined, so he left, and LongHaul rejoiced for he would no longer be a crotch! :lolol
