It's got the light bars, and you can tell that they made an attempt at putting fire truck ladder designs on the sides of the two guns, but it's not enough to convince anybody. What fire truck has two ladders anyway? It's a military mobile gun platform as far as I'm concerned. It can still be red because it's Op Prime anyway.

So mine is the only RID Prime that's rock solid in all modes? Even Omega Prime mode. I'd say that my RID Prime is just as solid as my CYB Prime. It's a tie for me.

I put em on layaway at walmart. Longest 3 weeks ever but not as long as it's gonna take for a discount.

If I could only get one prime, should I get the cybertron/galaxy prime or the HBS Galaxy Convoy? Plastic vs Diecast...big vs little.

if you can only get one? hmm... I have both, and wouldn't want to give either of them up! but I guess if I had to choose, it'd be to get the leader sized Prime. I love how the HBS has little handles for those big assed guns, and the different hands, but I love the moving mouth, being able to only move the black "horns" out half-way, and how he just towers over most of his troops! One last thing, the HBS has no Sonic Bomber to combine with to look extra wicked... so that's another bonus point for the Leader sized Prime :thumb  I still must say if you find an HBS for low enough (I only paid $35 for mine) you really oughta get both, they're both wonderful figures!

Depends on the price, I'd say. If the HBS is about $35... I'd say screw that. Get the leader-sized for $40.

I have him with the rest of my Primes, and he is easily in the top 2. The only way RID Prime is better is the combination with Magnus, cause Omega Prime is the best ever made.

Love...LOVE Omega Prime. Im with you there.

had to Necro this thread after picking one up today.

I took a bunch of TFP and BH stuff to trade in at my local comic shop, and grabbed this Prime MISB. Having ZERO experience with this one, I took my chances.

A buddy of mine traded me and Armada Prime that I LOVE...Then I Traded for a Fire Convoy and Magnus..fell in love with those. Lately I have been looking at older molds I missed out on, or overlooked.

Im sure as hell glad I got this thing.

    WOW.

-I had no idea how much this toy actually did. Chest windows open for a removable matrix..
-Flip up mouth shield via lever on back of head.
-Stand alone Prime bot figure that is actually VERY good, and has decent articulation and lots of cool detail.
-"super bot" mode that has a jet wing pack, that actually has "straps" that come around and connect to secure it very well.
-AWESOME over the shoulder weapons with a good planet key gimmick, and solid lights and sounds that do not detract from the figure.
-Base truck mode is a little "weird" but still not bad
-"Super Truck mode" is really interesting. I like it a lot, and has a very unique look to it.
    -Wait...Seriously?!! FLYING SPACE TRUCK MODE?!?!?!
    HELL YES.

    and its not bad.

I have to say, that going back, and getting some of these older toys, is really filling up my desires for "cool" stuff as of late. I LOVE the MPs and 3rd party stuff..but there is just something about getting these older molds and busting my cherry all over em.

    Yea..I love my jet wing..and Leader primes..and MP10 molds..

But so far, I think my Favs are Omega Prime and MABYE this...but I have to mess with it for a week or so and learn it before I know if I love it that much.

HIGHLY recommended if you have never had this figure. Of course try to get one complete, but DAMN..this is just an awesome toy...

I picked up both versions of this at the same time a little while back, and it's easily one of my favorite Optimus toys of all time. I kind of prefer the blue-detailed one better, but they're both equally awesome. He now stands proudly on my shelf next to MP01, MP10 and Jetwing Prime.

Now to continue the (so far depressingly fruitless) hunt for my personal grail- the Hybrid Style version...

Yeah the Sonic Wing Mode is badassery at its finest. Cybertron Prime is easily one of the best Primes ever.
