What's with the two versions of him? I recently purchased the one with black and red paint and a friend of mine has one that's red and blue. What's the dilly-o?

    Why are there two?

The black and red was just a repaint that came out near the end of the line. Hasbro called it the "Galaxy Force" repaint.

yup, the one you have is the galaxy force repaint. i only have the original red & blue one. i think another difference is the symbols that gf prime has on his shoulders which regular prime doesnt have.

The version with red and blue (which I happen to have) is the series-accurate version... well nearly. The repaint is called "Galaxy Force Optimus Prime". The only differences is the replacement of blue with black, the removal of Prime's Autobot logos with Cyber Key symbols. And oh yeah, an improved Cyber key.
