I just picked up this little guy last night. I was attraced by the visual aesthetics (especially the colors, even though they aren't prime), and the promising head mold.

    Munkky:
he looks pretty slick, im not going to lie. Probably the best looking monkey figure i've seen. he looks pissed off, and ready to rip off some limbs. his hind legs are a little tough to pose, though.

    Transformation:
fairly simple. basically fold his back around to become his front, therefore making his munkky arms his legs and vice versa. arms and legs are spring loaded so the go into place automatically when you do the torso flip.

    Robot:
great detail for a deluxe. head mold is GREAT! but he has no weapons. except for that surfboard thing it comes with. he really needs a sword or something. his robot arms (munkky legs) are difficult to pose, but his thumbs have a full range of motion which is pretty cool.

overall, pretty solid figure, but it loses brownie points for not having weapons.

Well, he can hold his surfboard over his shoulder like a giant rocket launcher. Doesn't look too bad that way.

It's nowhere near as noticable on the Cybertron deco, d00d.

Then buy monkey Prime and replace the image of the tiara with an image of no tiara!

yeha. thats a dumb reason to neglect a sweet figure. you should proabbly deal with it before it gnaws on something important. like the part that controls your motor skills.

I already own the BW10th version of the mold, and brown-ness doesn't make it worth buying again for me, especially since that mold is pretty mediocre IMO.

BW10th Megatron is all kinds of sweet however, even if his Cybertron redeco is ugly as sin in robot mode. :)

dude, i LOLd for real. good one *mental note, recycle that for personal repertoire*

ok, next time i see him, i'll try to mentally un-tiara him, we'll see how it goes.

...because a surfing monkey is actually too awsum for words, i could never get into the transmetal version which i thought colors clashed terribly.

Part of the surfboard pops off and can be held as a keen ninja sword.

Surfing Ninja Munky Robot pwns joo.

hm? do you have to disassemble anything? i happen to own this little fella and i think its the koolest O Primal ive seen. I mean seriously the scar on his face makes him look badass and like Poho said, hes about to rip something apart. I love the proportionality of his robot mode and his head mold is incredibly awesome. The color is also better then the grey or black ones ive seen he just looks great.. My only complaint would be that sometimes its a little hard to transform him back and forth since his middle parts get stuck and i already had to fix a part of his legs/arms. But yea overall i think this is an awesome toy and should not be denied because of a "mentally conspired" tiara.

It's the front tip piece of the surfboard, that moves when the cyber planet key is inserted. It comes off a little hard, but Primal can hold it in his fist in robot mode.

The Cybertron version looks more ape-like in ape mode, but the Beast Wars 10th looks more Optimus-like in robot mode. I don't know if this is a good enough mold to buy twice, maybe if I find it on clearance.
