I really want to skip this guy. I do.

    Really.

    Want to skip him.

But I have three gold keys. Seriously. How am I NOT going to pick this guy up? It makes my wallet sad. I really hope he's a cooler figure in person than in pictures. At least I know, transformation-wise, he doesn't just kneel down and show us his butt as I originally had thought with the first photos. At least it's more than just a few joints in his legs.

Nonetheless... he DOES look pretty bada$$ (can I use that word on the boards?). I dunno about $40-$50 so, but still looks quite cool.

The alt mode will only be a passing phase though, I'm sure.

Has/Tak... whoever it was who made the decisions... was VERY smart, business-wise, about this though. The first gold key was with an Ultra - Scourge. Way to start out big (no, not sarcasm). Second... they dropped it down to something much smaller and more affordable - Override as a Deluxe. Unfortunately, they kinda dropped the ball as well as the size, but they can't ALL be winners in a line as large as Cybertron. Third was Evac, who has not gotten nearly as much press as he deserves. He's one of the best Voyagers out there. So that gave em two choices for the 4th key... Basic... or Supreme/Leader. That's... not a hard choice right there. Unless they wanted to repeat a size class... but hey, why start now? :p

All in all, I'll probably be picking this guy up and hoping for the best. I'm not looking forward to him as much as I'd like to be, knowing that it's more than likely I'll buy him... but I'm really hoping I'll be impressed.

Then again, I'm also not planning on buying Primus.

...I'll just try and keep believing that's the way it's going to happen.

oh yes he is MUCH cooler in person than in pictures. especially the robot mode (both normal and brute), plus he DOES have some interesting fan altmodes, like a quasi-city ala g1, and even better is a battlestation mode like the G1 toy.. not to mention he's nearly as big as Supreme Starscream, yet is only 39.99!

Other than the box, I wonder if Metroplex will differ from GC-23 Megalo Convoy? If so at all. I know there will be a number on the key. . .

Mtero without a doubt, as we have seen in pictures, will not have the metallic mini prime.
And I would guess he will have a few paint apps femoved.

Man, I am so sick of the missing paint apps. I can understand the lack of the repainted LoC Prime, but seriously, Megalo Convoy doesn't even have that many paint apps to begin with. Please Hasbro, don't make us whiny fanboys cry like little girls any more; we're running out of tears. *coughsatirenotmeantasapersonalattackcough*

Actually, I picked up Soundwave last week and was quite impressed that he was missing only a few paint apps, so I hope that whatever is missing is easily fixable. I have this quiet desire to buy Metroplex, I say I don't want to, but he will be mine.

Edit-Dirge121, is that ironman in your sig? where'd that come from? (omg, the edit function is different now!)

The biggest difference between Cyb Plex en GF Megalo is that the Hasbro version has dark blue paint aps on his shoulders and legs, whereas the GF version has light blue paint apps

Are Hasbro's versions actually missing paint apps, or does Takara add additional paint apps that were not part of Hasbro's original, cost-calculated color chart?

YEah I can't wait to get this guy. I keep forgetting about him for some reason though. I actually never noticed the "gold" keys with Evac, Override and Scourge. Star Scream also has a gold Earth key as well as Evac though.

I love Megalo Convoy, u'll love it. I wanna cover it with Minicons (the team with the drill, pizza cutter and tank), 2 sets of that one, it'll look great.

I want. I look forward to learning and forgetting all of the fan-designed "improved" alt modes and such.
