Are they in the same class as combiners and base bots?

I mean are they big guys character wise. I have them and don't know to much about them. SO I don't know if they're big guys. Combiner and base like or ultra magnus like.

Tidal Wave is a combiner who can link with Megatron, I have no idea what size class he was but I can check. Menasor is not a combiner and is an Ultra size class.

EDIT: Tidal Wave is a Gigacon. (Ultra)

There both Voyagers and so is Ultra Magnus. Leader bots are like Movie Optimus Prime and Cybertron Metroplex, Combiners would be like Energon Superion Maximus and G1 Devastator.

oh, size like in the show?

Cybertron Menasor, being from the giant planet, towers over every other transformer in the series, aside from the other transformers on his planet (like quickmix and metroplex)

Tidal Wave's size changed pretty randomly in the armada show. in the armada game, he was a fully functional ship for the decepticons to ride around in, so yes, he was huge.

I guess Tidal Wave could be considered a base-bot in the sense that he was used as a base in the Armada game.

Ultra Magnus was not a Voyager and neither were they. Quickmix and Mirage were Voyager sized if that's who you're thinking of.

If you compare Tidal Wave Packaging to Cybertron Quickmix and Energon Mirage, even though they are titled ULTRA and VOYAGER, they are considered they same size in Hasbro Product department and Design. As for Generation 1 Ultra Magnus, I always whought of him as a Voyager because of his size and packaging because for the generation products he came from.

No they werent the same, because armada tidal wave wasnt a 20 dollar figure. he was a 25-30 (varied by store) dollar figure. a gigacon. maxcons were the 20 dollar price point class that later became voyager.

Tidal Wave was definitely an Ultra (equivalent), and a surprisingly tall one at that.

QFT. Both of em' are Ultra class (toy-wise), and Tidal wave dwarves over many leader classes.

Yes... Tidal Wave is BIG. In fact, he's currently standing next to my G1 Overlord, who's pretty much a Supreme by today's standards, and he's barely 2" shorter, and at least as wide.

And for the record, G1 Magnus would easily be an Ultra in today's market. Bear in mind, if you will, that G1 Prime is the same size as Classics Prime (i.e. a Voyager), and that's without the trailer. With trailers, he and Magnus are Ultra at least. Energon Magnus (the A-Overload redeco) was a Voyager equivalent, although he was packaged as an Ultra because he came with the extra Minicon team.

I have a shelf with decepticon combiners and base bots. That is done by the character. So I wanted to know if Menasor and Tidalwave are bad asses like trypticon and predaking or are they just regular non base type bots. Because cybertron metroplex is huge in the artwork that comes with him so he's on my autobot base and combiner shelf. I figured if menasor is metroplexes arch enemy he must be huge also.
I don't mean are they voyager or ultra. i mean are they big in character.

Thats what i'm trying to figure out, I know he's not a combiner but is he a base on scale with omega supreme. Or is he just a big regular bot.

He can split into his three components to combine with Megatron.

If you are referring to the Cybertron storyline, Cyb Metroplex and Cyb Menasor would be roughly equivalent to G1 Metroplex @ Trypticon in size as robots but neither of the Cyb figures have a base mode. Arm Tidal Wave would be more like G1 Jetfire taller than most of the other figures but not gigantic like G1 Metroplex & Trypticon. Is this what you were asking for?
