I've found King Starscream marked down to around $20 in my area and I was wondering is he a good investment before I buy him. Is he a good overall figure?

    Buy him.

By the way, it's Supreme Starscream, not king.

    Good investment? Not really.

Good overall figure? Fairly. It's kind of hard to explain, but for a Supreme it feel a little clunky.

Yes! In terms of playability I think he's great. A transformation that provides enough detail, but not overly complex so that you don't have to remember each time you transform him "how'd that part go again?" If you like Starscream as a character he's a must get. Heck, at a $20 sale he's only $5 more than the current Titanium Starscream out on the shelves. And Supreme Screamer is a better WWI tribute I think than Titanium Screamer, (plus he's a lot bigger.) I'd go so far as to say Supreme Starscream is one of my top 20 or so all time favorite TFs, maybe even top 10.

I paid full price for it when it was first released and didn't feel ripped off. It's not near as articulated as Unicron, Prime, or even Omega Supreme but it's still one hell of a cool toy. It's a giant Starscream for god's sake!!!:)

I still think we got really ripped off with this guy. It's just an oversized voyager with some sounds and a fancy hat. We really missed out on not getting the original, normal-sized figure released in its original colors in the US. I love the 2-pack version that came with Vector Prime, but i really think Hasbro blew it by not releasing the original version on its own as a wide release.

I passed on him because he is just too big, and not near complicated as a $50 toy should be. However, I would buy him for $20.

For $20 it can't be that difficult of a decision. That's a great price. No deals like that here. The only thing that was ever sold that cheap was Enegon Omega Supreme and Sentinal for $10.00 each at walmart about a 1 1/2 yr ago.
