Yeah he has a really sweet paint-job. I just wish the spoiler was painted red or blue instead of black to match the rest of the car better.
Just scored one off Ebay, he'll be here eventually. With him I'll have everything I want from this line! I really love the Smokescreen colours for some reason, not sure if it is because I have fuzzy yet warm memories of the guy from way back when.
Just picked him up today awsome repaint! Car mode is perfect, bot mode is great, not liking the yellow streak on the head, might fix that later, but thats only a small complant.
I wonder if people would go for this if it wasn't for the G1 connection. I don't think the blue goes very well with the red, or at least not the way they did it.
picked him up friday and I think he is awesome! Smokescreen was one of my favorite season 2 G1 autobots for his flamboyant paint job
I would, since Crosswise / Autovolt was one of my absolute favourites in the line, and the colours really appeal to me, G1 or not. The homage is pretty much secondary to me.
well, smokescreen's my favorite G1 car, so this was a must get for me ~ the paint's a little sloppy on mine, but still very nice. my only gripe is i liked how big the 38s on the door were on the colour guide.
I love the lil guy. Kinda wish he had a blue head, but that's nitpicking, I really have no complaints.
Wow. I had one in hand the other day, and turned it down in favor for a Titanium Jetfire. I should've gotten Smokescreen instead, as Titanium Jetfire was a letdown.
Woohoo, I found Smokescreen this morning at Target! I have to say, he really is fantastic. He's such a perfect dual homage to Smokescreen and Rad. I never liked the look of the Crosswise mold in photos, but I really gained an appreciation for it in person. I'm a little puzzled why they even bothered making this guy part of Cybertron at all... why not just make him Classics Smokescreen (since I'm sure he's the closest we'll ever get to that). Maybe they just wanted to restrict Classics to original molds, minus the Devastator and LOC repaints. You know, in some ways, this character design actually makes more sense for Smokescreen.... I'm thinking spcifically of the lights on his head and the visor. Those make sense for a character who might have to navigate his way through thick clouds of smoke. Anyhow, great toy. Very happy I got him.
I love the paint job on this guy. Like others, I would have preffered his head had been blue, but that's not a big deal. Gotta say, I'm not fond of this mold, though. The transformation's kind of a pain. Sucks the fun out of fiddling with the toy. He'll be standing proudly, with my Classics. I think I'll build a button, to replace his key.
Wow. Great minds think alike... Cybertron Smokescreen is a great match to his fellow Classics members, and one of my favorite repaints. I do wish his rocket launchers and gun were all red like most of him, and that he had a blue head like his G1 self. I, too, would like to see a button instead of using his planet key. Speaking of planet key does anyone have the code off-hand?
Nothing but pure love for this one. Probably my fav G1 paintjob from the deluxe rides. few pics http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Cybertron/CybSmokescreenvm6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Cybertron/CybSmokescreenvm7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Cybertron/CybSmokescreenvm1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Cybertron/CybSmokescreenvm8.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Cybertron/CybSmokescreenrm.jpg Oh yeah!
Got my Smokescreen tonight. I like it a lot, but I was surprised to see they kept the green clear plastic parts. They would have looked way better in clear or clear yellow...
