or is he just a repaint of hot-shot?
It's just a repaint of Hot Shot to look like Hot Rod, and a very good one at that. Peace out.
Yep. Excellion (The Cybertron Hot Shot repaint) never made an appearance in the show. Just like Cannonball, Shortround, Swindle, Hardtop, I could go on.
Sad how many neat characters didn't make it into the Cybertron series, esp. the basic-class ones. And badass racecars with flames are always awesome.
in the back ground of some sceens you will see what looks to be him.
like on speed planet you will see buzzsaw in a few shots.
Well, technically speaking, he did make it in the show by name. See, in the Japanese version, Galaxy Force, Hot Shot's name was Excellion.
The list could go on and on. I mean they made a badass Unicron toy and never put him in, but they hinted to planet X..
Seen some new Cybertron commercials recently, featuring Excellion and Wing Saber versus an "Evil Decepticon" (Sky Shadow). I find the commercial 'story' kinda funny, since Sky Shadow's package bio lists him as Jetfire working undercover.
I saw Buzzsaw, but no Excellion. Which episode are you talking about?
Actually the Japanese version is named "Exillion".
Onl if you go by TV-Nihon's spelling.
Yup, hes just a repaint.
I have to agree with you guys, so many characters were made as toys, that should have been in the show:-
Shortround most though, the show needed someone around to give Thunderblast an actual reason for having any on-screen time.
And the official spelling on the Takara boxes. >_>
Separate names with a comma.
