    Hi, I'm new here.

I've been checking my TRU and I was wondering which of those two toys I should get. Mind you I'm not a serious collecter (I took a 6-8 year break from buying toys following my childhood) so I'm mostly looking to buy the really good toys and not something closer to the mediocre level.

I don't hear alot of good about the Cybertron line, plus I'm worried about the lack of articulation in such a blocky figure. Not to mention I heard about serious plastic cracks. Rescue Ratchet looks pretty snazzy, though.

    Any thoughts?

P.S. Got Movie Thundercracker recently and he's cool.

cybertron's a great line that got hampered by a crappy show. scorpy's a good figure, I can vouch for that.

Trust me, Dark Scorps, atleast for me, is the better in play value, looks, plus he's a triple-changer with lots of fan modes!:thumbs2:
Also, he has adjustable shoulders, so you can change how they look, how his arms can move!

Looking back, he is the only ultra or voyager from the last ...5 sets I would keep if I had to give them all away :)
    GET HIM!:rock

Wow, I honestly didn't expect such positive opinions on Scorpy.

I'm quite tempted now...(it also helps that he's a Decepti-creep, since I'm down on those) (He's also cheaper than RR)

Energon Scorp is a great mold. I like all three colors (Superlink, Energon, Dark) and honestly my favorite face/head mold to date.

My rescue ratchet was very disappointing. It had inconsistent paint colors throughout and the entire face was painted pink!

I think they're both good figures. Comparing them is a bit like apples and oranges, though. Ratchet is a fun, solid-feeling figure, and in my opinion the best Movie Voyager mold. His alt mode is obviously a lot more realistic, though some parts of it don't line up as well as they could.

But Scorponok is a well-engineered, very solid figure as well. It has lots of fun little details. And the colorscheme on the Cybertron "Dark" version is very unique and eye-catching. Plus, he's a loose homage to the rare and expensive G1 figure Black Zarak. He's also technically a triple-changer, though the "flight mode" is, IMO, fairly weak. And unlike Ratchet, he has a purely fantastical (although very cool) alt-mode.

They are about equally articulated, though Scorponok feels a bit more "brickish" simply because of his ratcheting joints, big claws, and short thighs. He is also larger than Ratchet.

So if you like more realistic, articulated figures, go for Ratchet. If you don't mind sci-fi vehicles and want a fun, fantastical character, go for Scorponok.

I'd rather get Dark Scorp over Ratchet. I have a Rescue Ratchet and while it's pretty good looking, that's about all it is, just something to look at, but nothing to play with.

I'm trying to sell my Movie collection actually, Rescue Ratchet included.

I say go for Scorps, while I don't personally have him, I think he looks aces.

Though I like the movie Ratchet mold, I think Rescue Ratchet is ugly as sin.

I regret not wanting Scorponok back when you could find him. He's a great figure and he fits with the Classics figures really well.

Well I guess that's it, I'm getting Scorpy.

They have any Cybertron Galaxy Force Vector Primes there?

No, but there are some Primus'. Some months ago there was a King Starscream, too.

Wait a sec... they still have both of these figures at your TRU? Get Scorp, not only cuz he's the better figure. But you'll pay less then what he goes for now in after market. Nice find!

Dark Scorponok, no contest. The resculpt on the tail/cockpit section to accomodate the cyberkey improves the look of both the ship and scorpion modes over Energon Scorps, which already rocked. Second best mold to come out of Energon period (after, of course, Energon Megatron/Galvatron).

Yeah I'd go for Scorpy. Better features than Ratchet, plus Rescue Ratchet is horrible in those colors, he's better in his original green.
