Made these simple 2-inch thigh extensions for CW Devastator, putting his height at exactly 19 inches to the top of his head. Needed to keep him slightly taller than my G1 kitted Jinbao Bruticus. Jumbo size!

    UPDATE:
Thigh Extensions are now available on Shapeways. I hollowed them out a bit to try and bring the price down a bit, but SW pricing is what it is:

Looks good man! I'd add an extra-wheel on the outsides of both grey thighs though to beef 'em up a little, maybe the same size tires as the ones directly below those extensions and you're good to go.

If you're gonna keep him combined you could try and make a bigger head.

That was the next thing that I thought of doing after making him taller, but the crane arm is too close to the neck post to really fit a much bigger head in and still maintain the head swivel.

    I used a TW (version 2) head:

(Check out my DEV thread for details)

Also, you said Jinbao Brut in your 1st Post, but I see some UT pieces in there, did you combine/kit-bash?

Where are the extensions from? Would love a set for mine. Helps put his knees at a more appropriate location.

Wow, that TW head looks great! Were you able to get it as a standalone part or did you have to buy a figure for it? I'm going to try and create a Devy head from scratch, but that looks like the go to if it doesn't work out.
For Bruticus, I created an adapter piece and 3D printed it that allows the UT arm bots to work with the Jinbao torso. I have a thread on it somewhere in Radicons. Did it because the JB Vortex just didn't hit the toon look enough for me.

Designed them myself in a cad program then 3D printed them at home. The print takes about 7-8 hours so thank goodness everything actually fit perfectly. Lol

Any thoughts on printing extras and selling them?

I might consider it, but although they work great for me and everything fits/functions perfectly, I wouldn't want people to expect "toy company" quality and then bash me if they break the parts they receive or have issues with them. After all, it's basically a homemade product. I did load the design onto Shapeways to see how much it'd cost to sell it there, but the price per thigh piece was stupid expensive, and again, who knows what the end product would be like. I'd like to get them out to folks for a reasonable price, but just can't figure out a feasible way to do it. 7-8 hours per print is a lot of time to be babysitting my printer (not to mention materials and other resources), and it'd be nice to get fairly compensated for that, but folks would probably accuse me of gouging the price at that point.

You can buy the head separately for like $13. Mine is modded though to allow for getter neck articulation. :)

Makes sense. I had the same feelings when people asked if I'd take on some customizing commissions in the past

Just ordered one of these heads! What kind of joint is it designed for out of the box? (mushroom peg, ball joint, hinge?)

    It’s a
It’s a simple hinge joint. A member here (forgot name) made a 3D printer piece that allowed it to slide up a bit to allow for much better up/down movement. I also trimmed around the bottom of the head/neck to not seem so “blocky”. See my thread for pictures of how I attached it.

For the shapeways upload, you could hollow out the design some and that might reduce the overall cost. If you connect the two of them with a removable sprue, that too would be less expensive.

I was wondering if that would make a difference... I'll try it out and see if it changes the price much.
