Scales are based on a replicas size in relation to its real world counterpart. This tutorial is not meant to be taken as an exact guide to what anyone can or should build; it is only meant to give a rough outline on scale in relation to main line figures. My hope for this body of work is to offer a helpful frame of reference for most customizers looking to work with model kits in creating new Transformers figures.

The DotM deluxe Barricade is quite a bit smaller than the 07 figure. I would guess it's more of a 1/35 scale. It is unlikely to be customized into a 1/32 body shell.

    . . . . so, let’s see if a 1/25 Hot Rod open wheel body will work!

This figure will fit within the width of the body but is somewhat short. It should still work but would have a bit more kibble given the higher roof line.
Image 5 has a 1/25 Speed Racer Mach 5 fitted on it. Also shown is the Classics Sunstreaker in relation to the 1/25 kit. Not all 1/25 kits will fit over the 1/32/35 scale vehicles, only smaller real world cars such as the Shelby Cobra, Triumph, Mini Cooper, Smart cars or other such compact two-seaters are likely to work.

With the full fenders in place, this 1/25 Hot Rod could possibly be re-shelled over an Energon Downshift or even the Star Wars Crossover Turbo Tank. Something that’s really weird is that the RotF Ravage could even fit within the shell.
