Scales are based on a replicas size in relation to its real world counterpart. This tutorial is not meant to be taken as an exact guide to what anyone can or should build; it is only meant to give a rough outline on scale in relation to main line figures. My hope for this body of work is to offer a helpful frame of reference for most customizers looking to work with model kits in creating new Transformers figures.

    1/32 Scale Semi-truck

The Armada Optimus is a bit odd in that its width would scale nicely, but not its length. You could probably re-shell this figure into the cab, but you would need to do something with the sleeper. Either remove it completely, or turn it into a pair of shoulder missile batteries. You would also need a good plan for the rear of the truck frame being either a fold away transformation or make the robots legs longer.

Image #2 has the 1/32 trailer fitted to the Armada Prime which would make for a great transformable artillery station. Other figures shown here in size comparison are the Star Wars crossover Turbo Tank, ‘07 Movie Ironhide and ‘07 movie Blackout. Blackout is capable of making this work, but you would need to incorporate the fuel tanks into the overall width of the figure to contain the arms. The final image shows how much longer Blackout is (tip to toe, not including kibble tail) in relation to the semi-truck. It’s a bit long, but any customizer could make it work.
