I have been waiting for this figure since I saw early test shot over a year ago. The actual figure has to be one of the B-E-S-T transformers toys to date. He is near perfect in robot and tank mode.... Hasbro just screwed the pooch again with the color scheme. This is my first of no less than 4 versions.... this is the straight camouflage version with battle damage throughout. I love the way it came out! Let me know what you think!

    Thanks for looking:

Mighty impressive work right there! Though I feel sorry for Brawl, almost looks like he's in pain there...

    Very nice.

And yes, this is probably one of the best Transformers molds ever. Your darkening of the color scheme helps a lot though, along with all the details.

These movie toys are just a repaint/kitbash dream. So much to work with on them.

I would say this is better than Jin's custom Brawl. The battle damage on this one is slight but believable, and the painted-on dirt looks great. Man, there's no way I would ever buy the lame plain one.

You are doing you self a disservice if you don’t purchase this figure. That custom is sick! I believe Hasbro purposely design Brawl to use as a base for a custom. That why they choose the regular paint scheme that didn’t showcase all the details in the mold. I’ve never made a custom but molds like this make me want to start.

    Awesome work.

Yes he is very nice. I've got one in the box still, not sure which way I want to go with him yet. He DEFINITELY needs some paint though, spec. around the treads and such.

I used a combination of paints..... here is what I did:

A complete base coat of krylon ultra flat fusion black spray paint, then I sprayed it with krylon ultra flat fusion camo green spray paint. Then I whipped out my Tamiya paints and did all of the little details.

I tried Model Masters Acrylic painst, but they scraped and flaked off on a regular bases with touch, so i tried the Tamiya and it literally "glued" itself to the Krylon paint!

Thanks a lot but I would not got that far. Jin did the standard deluxe Brawl which is 1/3 the size of the Leader Class. Jin has heped me beyond words, so I feel that I am striving to achieve his level of execution.

Now..... if I could sell just ONE of my TF customs for what he does, the down payment on my new house would not be so harsh! :D

Do you take apart the figure then paint or do you keep him in tact and just spray away. Seems like the joints would get gunky real easy.
