Hi everyone: I've got some Custom Sideways WIP pix of him in vehicle mode. I am almost finished with the robot mode, and will post pix of this completed project tomorrow if anyone is interested. Thanks for any comments!

Here are the Robot Mode photos, completing this custom repaint...

Nice and smooth on the black there! The whole thing looks fresh out of the package that way. :)

Could you Sideways guys paint the windows for a change? I see everyone going for screen accuracy yet that's the one thing they always overlook. I really hate that red/pink color they made those windows, completely random and removes from the look of the toy.

I do too, but I have no idea what color to paint them. I wish there was a color called, "clear"! What do you guys recommend?

I tried to lay on a light coat of gunze smoke for my Sideways windows, looks slightly better, but the pink is still too strong for my liking. A note though, the rear window where the engine is is made of clear plastic. Funny why Hasbro did not use the same for the whole roof and paint on the pink later. It's a much more adaptable idea this way.

Try maybe taking the window plastic apart for painting but instead of spray painting the outside layer, do the inside layer in a thin coat first and see if that look realistic, if not give it a second coat, that should do it.

Spraying the inside of the windows is something I haven't considered, but I'll sure give it a try - thanks!!

Chest and shoulders, waist, and a pic of the rear in robot mode. The details look amazing but it's always nice to see this kind of quality up close!
