So this past Xmas, a couple cool cats in my gaming group got me a RiD Bumblebee 3-Step Changer. He looked so cool as a mold but was nothing really like the Bumblebee I had known and loved growing up. And after giving my gifts to the group (Felt lined dice bowls with geeky images painted on the inside of them) I asked if it would be okay if I touched him up a bit. And they were all for it! So, I took him home and let him sit on my shelf, rather growing to enjoy the easy transformations and giggling like a kid as I did so. Some weeks pass and I did the Garuru Sabertron custom and felt that I could do something similar with this BB figure. Starting out in some red, I figured I would try and make him a Sideswipe. But then, as I did some digging, I rediscovered the G1 paint scheme of Hot Rod and was immediately at it!! So here he is! my Custom RiD Hot Rod! And as always compliments, comments and critiques are all good and welcome! And if you are seeing basic rookie mistakes with easy fixes along the lines of technique or paint brand or the like PLEASE tell me! I am coming to learn to love this side of the fandom and would like to grow in skill and dedication to it ^^
Thank you very much! ^^ Do you happen to have any custom ideas you would like to see done? Or maybe just a trinity of top three favorite colors on a bot. ^^
Shattered Glass Titans Return. I've never seen this anywhere, and it seems sort of perfect for the Targetmasters as their opposite would be a Headmaster.
OOooooooh, I get it! That would be a good reversal of roles. I will bear this idea in mind for future works. ^^
Excellent work! I'd buy that in a heartbeat. If it's alright with you, I might even try and make one of my own.
Heck yeah! Go for it ^^ Just a heads up, the paint on the thighs needs to be VERY thin oooor you have to do some sanding to the sliding shins under-plastic. Just two transformations with floor polish coating and it still scraps off, sadly XP Also, might I suggest giving this mold a Batmobile-to-Nightwing makeover~
