*EDIT Just added a version 2.0 photo of my work in progress full paint custom. He's the last photo in the batch here. Worked up another PRID CJ with a metallic red paint job. *END EDIT

Hey all Radicons! I was really bummed about the rest of the First Edition Prime series being dropped here in the U.S. as I was really looking forward to the FE Cliffjumper, Bulkhead and Vehicon! Well, Prime RID CJ came out last week and since I can't get the FE I decided to paint mine up to better reflect the FE as well as better portray the character as he appeared on the show.

p.s. a couple photos were taken before I painted the door handles and a couple other details.

Gawd damn I can't wait for this mold looks so much nicer than the FE version, and the details you added look awesome, good work man.

Wow, that gunmetal really makes him pop! I'm digging the paints apps to his face as well. Makes him look a lot better.

What kind of paint are you using? Testors?

Nice. I have an FE one, and I like the RiD one, but I think I'll have to paint it with the black when I get it. Looks much better.

It's amazing what a little paint touch-ups can do for a figure. Kinda makes you wonder if the figure would have recived so much hate from the fans if it came painted like this.

You really brought up the the details in abdomen area, that otherwise are totally missed with the crappy unpainted gray plastic. You made him look a lot more screen-accurate, and vanished the "unfinished toy" feel.

I'm definately doing this to mine as soon as he arrives!

Thanks all! I really appreciate the compliments!

Unfortunately I just destroyed the left leg of a second Cliffjumper going for a full repaint. Working to paint all the red a candy apple and while removing the pin from the knee, slipped and broke the calf hinge right off LOL...Off to Target to try and get another for a replacement leg...

I'd just call it done, but it's my sons figure. He's been begging me to paint his and if he comes home from school and finds a broken dood...???!!! I'll be done for :jawdropper:

You know what, I think you just sold this toy on me, paint seems to do wonders for this toy as it does for the voyager Megatron.

    Much better.

This is a great custom. I still don't like the mould (for the face and arms) but you did a spectacular job, man.
