I cancelled my preorders in the hopes of Rumble/Frenzy colors. Here's hoping it happens.

 

I I was going to preorder him but when I realize how small he is, I cancel

I'm really hoping for Rumble/ Frenzy repaints but I can't wait to get this guy either. I like the colors better than either of the G1 cassette bots.

 

I was interested but then fansprojects surfaced again...

 

I still have yet to buy any mass customs because, well.... I'm poor dammit!

and also because the quality usually isn't that great. I sold my battle roller for $15.00

I hated him. so therfore I won't be buying any more mass customs for that very reason.

Except for the new bruticus add-on sets.  

 

I got my email today it was shipped from robot kingdom.

I can not wait to receive it.

 

oh wow, that is tiny. I'd pick it up in G1 Rumble/Frenzy colors but otherwise i'm going to spring for springer lol.

 

I have three "mass custom" items to my name - 2nd release City Commander, the iGear Autoscout cassette, and Nato-Bot's Roadbuster upgrade (which isn't really the same as the other two). I wouldn't mistake any of them for Hasbro products, but I've been very satisfied with all of them ... so far. Don't think I'm interested in this one though. The Frenzy-like robot is nice, but it turns into a gun-chunk.

Call me when FP "Not-Swindle" is ready for prime time.  

 

Battle Rollar was truly the exception rather than the rule - and with him, the quality is apparently hit or miss.

Everything FansProject has spit out, and a lot of the other "mass-customs", have been surprisingly high-quality. Obviously they'll never be quite the same as a hasbro toy (they don't need to meet the same safety standards which require the toys to be damned-near indestructible), but if you treat your things carefully you'll find they're pretty resilient.

I've got 1st-release City Commander, Shadow Commander, Crossfire 01, Battle Rollar, Natobot's Roadbuster Upgrade, FP's City Commander Add-On Pack, the G3 Trailer... Except for Battle Rollar, they're all excellent!

 

They're all excellent because they're all FP except for the roadbuster upgrade.

Igear's products stink

The TFW sword was inconsistent

TFC had issues as well

3rd party products are not the same

FP rocks
Igear sucks
everything else is ok
