Custom Optimus Prime Trailer and Guns (Finished for now, pics on the last page)

(The "finished" trailer is at Page 3)

Just want to share my little project and hopefully i'll get nice suggestions, here are pics of my custom Optimus Prime trailer and guns, this is my first project so have mercy :)

i haven't painted the trailer because of the weather but its made of thick cardboard, sacrificial toy truck and lego pieces. unfortunately the rear wheels are small but looks fine

as for the gatling gun, the engine came from a knock off tamiya car, the barrels are plastic straws, the barrel holders (whatever you call it) are the wheels of the tamiya car and is powered by 1 AA battery, the chain bullet came from an old watch

i'm thinking of repainting Prime, what shades of blue and red should i use, i don't want the battle damaged thing, just movie accuracy and shiny

    hope you guys like this

That guns pretty cool! Some hobby stores carry mini hinges (they look like door hinges) you could add a few of those to the trailer to make doors more functional and have the ramp drop after you open the back. Just my 2ยข can't wait to see it finished :)

thanks for the suggestions and comments, unfortunately i live in a province in the philippines where hobby shops are not yet invented, ehehe, so i'll just have to improvise on the door hinges (from lollipop tubes)

i'll just have to finish this first as an ordinary box, hopefully if i find the time i'll convert it to a weapons storage or repair bay like the original ones

side autobot logo from deluxe skids and elita-1 packaging(kinda big but that's all i got)

Great use of materials you already have on hand! Kinda inspiring to me because I've always had a great imagination for customizations and add-ons for my TF's but never had the time/money to invest in all the different things that the big boys use, lol...but I honestly might take a shot at doing some kind of custom whenever i find the time.

kabayan? whre you from? ehehe! i'm from laguna, los banos to be exact, had to buy bots from toys r`us at robinson lb or toy kingdom express at sm calamba, the selections are so-so, no hobby shops at either mall, so i just go to the "little divisoria" stores and buy knock-offs

im from pinas too, same problem with you no hobby shops and even if there were hobby shops,i dont have that much money,so im relying to my old broken toys and scout some knock offs too in markets so its either k.o toys or improvise, anyway im looking forward to this project of yours.=D

tnx guys for comments!!! appreciate it a lot!
    resi4k, kabayan!
just an update, had a good weather earlier and found a very rare afternoon off, sprayed the trailer with silver paint, personally i'm not too happy but it got a lot better when i hitched it to Optimus, i hope i still have enough to spray another layer after i smooth out the roughies, still have to put on the blue highlights here and there and look for a solution to the rear doors

(there's also the lollipop stick gatling guns i plan to use on Prime's/Ironhide's/Bee's or Ratchets arms)
